i am currently 10 weeks out from a nat bb show and was really excited to try torrent but i noticed how high the sugars where in it. i really love the high amounts of bcaas and protien. so would u guys think it would be ok to use as a pwo while dieting for the show?

Personally I would as I wouldn't change my post workout nutrition. I would adjust my calories in other meals than post workout. That being said you have to be in tune with your body and how it responds to different carbs and make adjustments where needed.

As I understand it though the sugars in Torrent should be used pretty efficiently by your body after a workout, so they shouldn't have that big an impact. I could be wrong though.

yea my diet is pretty plain jane. i mean 6 meals 8 oz chicken at each
breakfeast with 1 cup oats and the next four meals are 1/4 cup of b rice
i take vitargo now but i love the universal label so i think i would be ok although torrent has more cals it would replace my pwo protien shake

If you're currently taking vitargo and it isn't affecting your cut, torrent shouldn't either. Vitargo is pretty high in sugar too, I think.

I thought Vitargo is a carb drink, so isn't it technically a sugar? Again I could be wrong. Either way though I think you'll be ok because your body is extremely effecient at using sugars after working out.

Mine too brother. I was on leucine for a while and it jacked my strength and mass gains up like crazy. I just ran out a week or so back and my cash is low so I haven't been able to pick up any more.

I think Torrent should be fine, but you might want to cut out the creatine at the last couple weeks. Best of luck at the show!

NICE bro! Sounds like you put on some quality mass. 11% at 10 weeks out, doesn't sound like your prep should be too nasty. Good luck!

Vitargo is a carb drink but it is NOT sugar. It is a 100% amylopectin starch that is absorbed by the body much better than a dex or malto. I used to do a 1:1 ratio of dex and malto and i got bloats and gas. made the switch to vitargo (waxy maize) and it all went away like a nice fairy tale.

if your cutting for a show i would keep the sugar carbs to a minimum. post workout for me is two scoops of optimum whey in water and a granola bar with 27 grams of carbs in it. like 16 are sugar. this is my post workout meal. im not sure how much carbs torrent has in it but i know damn well i want to save my carb supply for a good source of energy like oats and rice, not sugar that will burn away quickly. but thats me, and my opinion, not yours. if you like leucine eat a serving of baby spinach every day. each serving has 5 grams of leucine.

Ahhh I stand corrected. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks Jay for the correction.

What is your conditioning like now?

I would use it up to week 2-3 and count the carbs in your daily plan...If you are ahead or right on schedule!
