Well, give us a little more information. Let us know the type of cutting diet you're on (sample meal plan if possible), your training routine, cardio specifics, etc. Maybe you're trying to cut too much too fast. You're gonna lose strength... that's a given, but you want to hold on to as much mass as possible. Technically, you can't get shredded without losing a little muscle mass, but the goal is to keep that to a minimum. How long have you been cutting? When in July is the show? Give us a little more info and maybe we can help you keep more of that hard earned muscle. Let us know bro.

im doin supersets and trysets one week and the next week higher reps of about 10 -20 depending on the set. im doing cardio 4-6 times a week for one hour in the mourning and lifting at night lifting 4 days a week this is my third week and its on mid june. my diet it 1.3g per pound of weight and i try to eat roughly the same amount of carbs but all good carb like oat meal and whole wheat. im taking aminoacids cuz they say it helps retain muscle during cardio. and im taking protein shakes . before and after workouts . so i think im duin everything right?

Well, you might want to bring down the rep range to 8-12. 20 may be over doing it for most muscle groups. For abs, calves, and forearms however, that would be a good rep range. As far as the diet, make sure you track down exactly what you're eating. You want to be as precise as possible. Also, you might want to look into carb cycling. I'm currently cutting and I personally have responded very well to it. To get an idea of the diet, check out my log (link posted in Sig). Cardio looks good as well as the lifting 4 days/week. Protein, amino acids, and creatine are good supps to help keep a lot of the size. Be careful with the creatine tho. You might want to drop that as the show gets closer so that you can properly get rid of the excess body water. Anyway, keep a log here. Post up your diet plan and your training routines... with all the specifics. Many of the members here on the forvm will help you along the way and get you to where you want to be. Let me know if you have any questions.
