So everyone knows that caffeine can help a diet. So i was wondering how much do you need to acctually need to have give a diet a good kick up.
Everyone has different opinions on this. Some say have a couple cups of coffee before you work out, some say you should take in a couple of pills (aproximately 200 cps of coffee). How much caffeine do you currently take in? Include all your pop, tea, coffee, chocolate, etc. Ultimately you may need to play with it for yourself, starting small and working up.
Also, ask yourself why are you wanting to use caffeine? Is it to increase you metabolism? or give you a boost before the gym? Depending on your purpose there may be better alternatives.
Hopes this helps, I am sure more advice is on its way to you.
cheers
Personally, I don't like caffeine much myself, but it can be used to help in these situations. Anyway, coffee is a stimulant and a natural diuretic also. Both of these you can get from products by the wonderful Animal line from Universal. These are a couple possible alternatives that jbear mentioned.
I just pop a 200mg pill when I go do cardio in the mornings...it's like 4 cups of coffee

Animal Cuts has 200mg that you take twice a day. (split into 2 cardio sessions for best results).

I don't take any caffine at all. It causes the body to become dehydrated and i get cramps in my calves. If you do take caffine though, you have to vary the dose or go off of it for a while. After 4 days, your body adjusts to the level of caffine you have been putting in and you have to increase the dose or go off of it for a couple of days, otherwise it doesn't work as well.

Where's it say it on the Cuts? I looked last night 'cause I thought it did, but I couldn't find it on the ingredients...

I have been thinking about trying to have 200mg first thing in the morning to see if it makes me hungrier by the time I eat breakfast.
Don't take in too much caffeine before weights. I think you get less of a pump. I popped some thermogenics today along with a serving of no-xplode (which contains caffeine) preworkout. I pissed 3 times during the workout and I didn't feel too great of a pump. Probably because of caffeine's vasoconstricting action.

Cuts has an anti-catabolizer... Long story short, you don't lose muscle mass. Well, nothing is perfect so I should say "as much" mass. I don't know if you were getting at that.

I keep caffeine and Synephrine on hand in the car. When I'm feeling sluggish, I pop one of each before I lift. It helps out big time. I use it spairingly though. I do drink coffee in the morning as well.

i heard that taking caffeine right before cardio maximize fat loss is this true or is this just bullshiT?
Quite a few of the "fat burning products" have caffeine in them to promote the "fat burning" process.
careful with these "cardiac drinks" pre work out....stick with the UN products...like Shock of Pump...got just enough kick....and other goodies...but coffee....Ide lean away from that to be honest....all you need is good H2o and good sups.....
Just try it and see if it works. Supposedly it does because it because it makes the heart rate quicker. I think it works, but you'll have to try it out.

Somebody correct me if i am wrong but caffeine will dehydrate you..So drink plenty of water......

caffeine, one of the most researched 'supplements' if you will
i will personally reccomend it pre -w/o or any w/o where you arent quite feelin the hang of things, yes pump and shock therapy also take care of you too
will increase focus, endurance and heart rate
Employing a caffeine type supplement will mobilize free fatty acids (FFAs) into the blood stream and increase fat burning. Caffeine is a performance enhancer and is a main ingredient in nearly all thermogenics. Some people rather drink black coffee before cardio. Its a natural form of caffeine and it satisfies a craving of sorts.
Caffeine, taken in large amounts, as in carbonated drinks, can dehydrate you if your not drinking enough water to begin with...this is because if your drinking less water and more ofthe other stuff, your body will be forced to retain whatever "water source" your giving it. So, if you drink lots of coffee or diet soda and not enough water, this can surely work against you.
I used to use carb loaded gel packs...which are little carb loaded packets, containing minimal sugars..they work great for a temporary burst of energy. There are a couple different brands out there.

Caffeine works by increasing the amounts of cyclic AMP in the body, a chemical that gives you more energy, but doesn't necessarily promote fat loss. The mechanism of caffeine promoting fat loss seems to be, just the individual being able to do cardio longer, from the increased energy. Also, caffeine has the "wolf in sheeps clothing" effect of diuresis, which can make you look thinner by losing subcutaneous H2O. Most diet supplements on the market count on this effect to con the consumer.
I prefer supplements like in Cuts that stimulate norepinephrine, which does directly promote fat loss, as opposed to the cAMP. Use something that works. Universal has officially put out a "no bull" cutting agent.
