KNowledge = power.

power does not always = knowledge.

I always listen to people, and take in what they say. If it seems to fit, try it... if its a load of shit, tell the fuckhead to go sit on a sword.

He might say 1 smart thing out of 10 dumb things... but If that 1 thing helps you in even the slightest manner, its worth it.

The smartest people in this world, are usually the smallest built. The largest people in this world, are usually the dumbest... ROnnie coleman is a prime example of a HUGE, AWESOME, POWERHOUSE, which has a brain of a walnut.

Dont judge the dude because hes smaller. Just because some one is small doesnt mean they cant train hard or have alot of knowledge.

Amen Berserker. Always listen, and always know your audience.

There are those who talk a lot but say nothing and there are those who talk very little but speak volumes.

ill try to give u a little example
the guys on the olympia dont make their own training program or dieting they have a lot of doctors and trainers that tells em what to do do you think that they are bigger than them? no but they know how to advice em
btw im not talking about the guys in the gyms who think they invented the bodybuilding in 99% they talking shit

okay, maybe that came out a little wrong .. what I should have said was "the guy in the gym" who says things .. like he walks up and starts talking training while your going through a routine and he's claerly in no shape to tell you how you should be training

Hey Achilles I know what you mean. At 6AM this morning im doing 20 rep Squats, and this asshole guy wearing a tight tshirt and JEANS comes up to me while im in the MIDDLE of the set, to tell me not to go down so deep on my Squats. He said some other shit afterwards about squats being a bad leg exercise, and by this time (rep 18) im thinking "Two more reps, then I get to kick some ass". Shame he wandered off just when I was about to rack the bar....

I know what you mean man. Iam always open for new techniques and ideas. But in my gym there arent many people who do legs or shoulders. Everyone trains chest and biceps. I have people coming over saying workout your biceps more your arm will be bigger, dont do shoulder presses its bad for your joints, don't go heavy on squats and only go half way to be safe. I just look at them and say,"thank you for sharing bye". But there are times when the big guys in the gym teach me some stuff, then i accept with open ears. But all these other guys are just uneducated.

hahahaha, paper tigers eh? There is no need to even think about them, put headphones on, give them a nod and carry on doing what you do. If you do not have headphones, just agree then do whatever you were previously doing.

*This is what you do*

Whenever one of them comes up to you while you're doing a set, and is giving bad advice; pause during your rep, look them up and down, turn your head back and continue your set.

All you gotta do. 99% of the time they won't talk to you again, and most likely go tell the whole gym that you're an *******. lol

--Now only do this to the ones who constantly pester people thinking they're God's gift to bodybuilding. A lot of the time it could just be some guy actually trying to help, who is just misinformed.

You must be one of the smart tiny dudes. Go ahead. Tell G Diesel, Machine, House, Big Al, Bulldog, any one of those dudes that they have a brain the size of a walnut. Go read their articles. They write EXTREMELY well, and are well versed in their knowledge and articulate in the way they write. You can't say shit to them about not being intelligent. Bigger = dumber? You're just another one of those guys that stereotype us because of how we look, and our dedication to this sport. Don't try to defend yourself because you're small, you gotta start somewhere. No one here is saying "smaller = less of a lifter". So keep your stereotypical bullshit to yourself.

Look at a lot of professional bodybuilders, almost all of them have personal trainers 1/3 of their size. Just because you're small, it doesn't mean you dont have any knowledge. I'm not a huge guy, but I've taught a lot of stuff to guys in my gym who are a lot stronger that me. I just love this type of work and spend lots of time doing research and reading stuff.

No one here is knockin' smaller guys. I'm not saying you're less versed in lifting/nutritional knowledge or that you're any less intelligent based on your size. But don't ever call the big guys stupid; all you have to do is read the articles on this website to see that these guys can probably write better than most of the "intellectual" types I have encountered over the years.
