Yes I am guilty of missing a meal once in a while

In fact today I woke up at 8:00 am and was running late for work..
I didnt get anything until 12:00 - Protein Shake - 500 calories.
Then I picked up the slack.. at 2 pm I had some tea with a few pancakes with like 20 grams of protein ~ 450 calories. (hey w/e i can get)

The question IS: How bad is it to miss a meal? Especially important one like breakfast?

Breakfast is the worst meal to miss. It is an execellent time to eat your simple carbs and it kickstarts your metabolism first thing.
If you are going to miss a meal, try to make it a different one.

Never miss breakfast. Breakfast is the be all of any meal of the day. Your body has been fasting since the moment you fell asleep. Not only does your metabolism stay low, but your hormones and testosterone are in a very low state from the moment you wake up. Eat breakfast, eat a hearty breakfast, wake the sleeping giant. Especially when you plan on building quality muscle and decreasing body fat you can't miss the one meal that influences your body the most.

My body wont let me leave the house without eating. it'll drop me first.

what is your normal bfast? Is it envolved in preparation, or is it pretty quick to prepare?

I usually cut up some sausages, cook 'em for a minute then add eggs in there, sometimes i add some cheese in there too, and/or peeled tomatoes.

If I'm running late I just have a ~500 calorie protein shake. + 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds.

its just today i was really late..

12 Egg Whites, And 1-2 Cups Of Oats///32 Oz H20. That Works Best For Me. Of Course I Have To Eat My Eggs Hardboiled...cause I'm Too Lazy To Crack Them In The Morning.

I second that. You can always carry a protein bar with you rusmuscle, it’s the best thing to do when we have a shitload of things to do.

sadly i don't ever remember a time where i actually sat down and ATE breakfast. I don't know what is wrong with me, but when i do try to eat breakfast, everything i put in my mouth, i spit out. its like i can't swallow a darn thing and start to gag at my food. i can only eat lunch and dinner.

i know that breakfast is really important, but then i have gone without it for some 20+ years of my life. LOL...

got anything to help me cure this problem?

Yeah, suck it up.

Eating is the same as working out. Either you are dedicated and do what it takes, or you don't.

Habits are always hard to break. Personally I'd rather sleep then wake up early and make breakfast, but every day without fail, I get my tired ass up and make a "super shake"... (Pasteurized egg whites, soy milk, scoop of protein, some low fat icecream, flax seeds, wheat germ and an Animal Pak) or have an omelet w/ wheat bagel and juice.
Try out a shake or something high in protein like eggs and oatmeal first thing in the morning w/ some OJ. You can do it MH. More frequent meals are the key to keeping the metabolism spiked for optimal lean mass gains.

yeah man,

i feel u, used 2 hav no appetite in the morning whatsoever. couldnt think of eating anything solid whatsoever. Thats when i started blending, if u cant take on the solids first thing, give the shakes a go, fresh fruit, milk - whatever - then put it in the shaker cup & off to work while chowing in the car - get it done!!, missing breakfast is holding u back bro!

Some would tell you missing a meal is more important than missing a workout session...

yeah I learned the hard way on my own that I was just wasting my time with workouts without the proper diet and proper time of intake. heed the advice given here! you will notice a difference.

I read somewhere that if you do not have an appetite in the morning to drink some kind of fruit juice then come back later and your body should be more willing to eat. I don't know if there is any merit to that or I am just talking out of my ass lol. Either way.
Anyway I just wanted to give you guys a little suggestion if you should ever miss a meal. Regardless of what anyone says.... it happens. So here goes. If you miss a meal throughout the day just before you go to bed make up a protein shake (I like a casein/wpi/egg white blend) and toss it in the bathroom. When you wake up in the middle of the night a take a leak, down the shake.
You'll at least feel less guilty for missing that meal.

I used to be like that in the morining for most of my life. Never ate breakfast or never really ate much at all. Then i went to Iraq and started hitting some weights found animalpak.com and never looked back now if i dont have some food in my system every few hours i become one grumpy asshole.

The bars arent cheap so I would buy in bulk but the benefits you'll reap from staying on track,l I imagine will be top notch.
