View Full Version : My prep for 2nd and 3rd show
I'm 20 years old 5'7'' 190 pounds at 8% bodyfat. I'm 12 weeks out from a local show and will be doing another the following weekend. Not sure what my wieght will be at the end, my trainer just wants me ripped and dry. First show i did i was a lightweight so might be a middle this time. I'll be adding to this post as it gets closer just to vent about dieting, I never like sugar during the offseason but seem to crave it every second of a contest diet!! But i'll keep yall updated on my progress as well.
Right now my training is the same as offseason...HEAVY. No cardio yet, thank God, but i shouldn't have to do much.

Ten weeks out today. I'm doing cardio for 30min in the morning or 30min after my workout. My diet is still the same. 320-340 protien and 175 to 250 on carbs...the high day is from cell-tech after my workouts but that will be cut after the next two weeks. Things are right on target though, so i'm allowed one cheat meal a week...which will probably be pizza or a pasta something fatty with carbs.
Mental state right now is good. I don't feel like i'm dieting at all really, my strength is still high and energy is no different. I'll give an update in the next couple of days or so.
Been awhile since i updated i'm 6 weeks out tomorrow. Been cycling carbs for awhile last 2weeks it was 2 high one low now we are doing 1 high 2low. Lots of green veggies, Broccoli, spinach, cucumbers, onions bells peppers.. Other than that cardio 5 times a week at 40 minutes each time useually in the morning empty stomach. Training is still going well all lifts are relativly heavy still, back has been acting up so deadlifts have been kinda light. Bodyfat is below 7% i tend to tighten up a lot every couple of weeks. I'll keep updating somebody might read it.

I looked really good this morning. I did 40 min on the treadmill then i ate my first meal and practiced posing a little bit. Abs are in and look damn good a today my quad separation was pretty complete and i have had striations in my chest for a few weeks now. The show is 5 weeks from saturday i think the next 2 weeks of diet are gonna be pretty tuff...my trainer/nutritionist has had me take one meal a week to "cheat" however it is excessive but needed to keep me from shredding up to soon, Just keeps my metabolism up. We shall see what he has instore for me next week when i meet up with him again, i think he will cut the "cheat meals" and then lower my carbs again. Ill keep updating stumblin, thanks for reading
If anyobody is following this i'm posting pretty much everything in "My Contest training" . My thoughts, diet, training pics will be up there soon as well if i can figure out how to use my computer. nothing will be posted here anymore.
