Begins Thursday, May 17th.

Currently 5' 7.5" 161 lbs. and 12% bodyfat. Beginning with a bulk, I'll surpass any weight I've dreamed of lifting previously. My goal is to get to at least 10% bodyfat and put on a large amount of muscle mass...freakish if you will.

Lift schedule is as follows:

-Thursday: Chest/Back
-Friday: Legs/Cardio
-Saturday: Shoulders/Traps
-Sunday: Arms/Forearms
-Monday + Tuesday: rest
-Repeat

Current Supplements:
-Optimum 100% Whey Gold Standard
-Animal Pak
-Animal M-Stak (Old Formula)

I'll be adding Nitro-G when I get the money.

I'm putting this out there so you know; This is my philosophy, it works for me as everyone has their own that works for them:

**If you can do less than 4 reps, the weight is too heavy, if you can do more than 6 reps, the weight is too light.**

Training will begin on Thursday.

Today was Chest/Back day.

Woke up at 9:00AM, had a small bowl of oatmeal to get started; popped my M-Stak, and got in the car and headed off to the gym.
Decided to start the workout off with back instead of chest today, didn't turn out as I had planned...

**My back routine was as follows:
(I will only reference my heavy sets, not the warmup or weight acclimation sets)

-Bent-over barbell rows: 2x6 of 140 and 1x6 of 155

-Body weight wide grip pull-ups: 1 x failure

-Deadlifts: 3x5 315

-Lawnmower pulls/Dumbbell rows: 1x6 50lbs., 2x6 65lbs.

--------------------------------------------------------------

**Chest Routine:

-Dumbbell slight incline chest press: 1x6 55lbs., 1x6 70lbs., 1x6 75lbs.
(Keep in mind, these are the individual dumbbell weights, not the combined weight...I was hoping to cap off past 80 lbs.)
This is where I realized that the deadlifts really beat up my arms and support muscles, next time, we do chest first.

-Chest fly Machine: 3x6 110lbs.

Ended workout here at about 50 minutes.
Time in between sets was about 45 seconds to a minute, I'll be trying to shorten it next time.

Picked up a new can of Animal Pak from the nutrition store and threw down a pak with my protein shake (72 grams, I try to get 216 grams/day)

Tomorrow is leg day...

Today was Leg Day

Woke up around 11:30 (no work today), ate the usual oatmeal with the pak. About 30 minutes later I took my M-Stak and was off.

Got into the gym and hit the squats first. Today, I used the smith machine as I had no spotter:
+1x6 245
+1x6 275
+1x6 315

Leg Press:

-1x6 315
-1x6 360
-1x6 450

Next were leg curls:
-1x6 70
-1x6 80
-1x6 90

Seated Calve raises:

+1x10 275
+1x8 315
+1x6 395

Concluded my leg workout at about 50 minutes flat. Time in between sets was about 45 seconds...ideal for me. Downed my protein shake and headed home. Cardio was pushed to the back of the line, I'll hit cardio tomorrow.

No pictures today because the digital camera is out of batteries.
Tomorrow is Trap/Shoulder Day.

Can't take sitting around the house any longer today; Going for my road ride...during rush hour. Cardio gets done today.

Short, but brutal ride. Temperature is in the 90's. Average speed was about 19-21 mph...rolling hills. Cars tailgating my ass throughout, eat it. Cardio's done for this session.

Update: May 17, 2007

My back feels a bit awkward from the 315lb. squat repetitions. My back needs to get used to the weight I suppose...

Read over Wrath's Journey on the front page...good stuff.
Can't wait to train tomorrow.

Thanks; M-stak is working great for me, but I'm using the old formula. My numbers really jumped during my first week on m-stak.

Shoulder/Trap Day

Woke up around 10:45; had a belgian waffle for breakfast along with the pak.
Waited an hour, took my M-Stak and headed off to the gym.
Got into the gym, and all these high school kids with their hats sideways/backwards/upside down, whatever, are all using the dumbbells and leaving them all over the training floor. Pissed me off to the nth degree...

Anyway, started with my shoulders:

+Bent over laterals: 2x6 25lb., 1x6 30lb.
+Seated Military Press: 1x6 135lb., 1x6 145lb., 1x6 155lb.
+Seated dumbbell laterals: 2x6 25lb., 1x6 30 lb.
+Machine laterals: 2x6 125 lbs. (Wanted an isolation thrown in there)

Traps:

+Upright rows with EZ bar: 1x6 95lbs, 1x6 100 lbs, 1x5 110 lbs.
+Standing Shrugs: 1x6 315lbs., 1x6 335 lbs., 1x6 345 lbs.

Concluded my workout at about 45 minutes, 30-45 seconds in between sets.

Came home, ate two slices of whole wheat toast with jam...now I'm typing this. I'm out of my Whey Isolate and also out of money...so I'll be missing whey for a week or so...shouldn't have that much of an effect.
Tomorrow is Arms/Forearms day.
Out.

Just discovered that my gym doesn't open until 8am on weekends. I'll have to hit the weights after my day at work which I hate doing. Hopefully I'll have enough energy after doing swimming/cpr/first-aid shit all day.

Arm Day

So, pretty shitty day today...dove into the water with my car keys, the remoteless key shorted because of it. So then I tried to open my car manually and the damn alarm goes off for 5 minutes...shit. And I'm burnt to a crisp from being in the Georgia sun all day whilst doing emergency drills.
Anyway, enough bitching from me;
Despite my day today, I managed to crank out a serious arm workout after work.

Got home from work, took my M-Stak, and headed off to the gym.

Started with Triceps:

+Tricep Arm Extension Machine: 1x8 100lbs., 1x6 120 lbs., 1x6 150 lbs.
+Tricep straight bar pushdowns: 1x6 80 lbs., 1x6 135 lbs., 1x6 185 lbs.
+Tricep rope pulldowns: 1x6 90 lbs., 1x6 120lbs., 1x6 150lbs.
+Skull Crushers: 3x6 75lbs.

Biceps:

+Concentration Curls: 3x10 35lbs. (warmup)
+Standing Dumbbell Preacher Curls: 3x6 35lbs.
+Close Grip barbell curls: 3x6 75 lbs.

Workout ended at about 30 minutes with about 30 seconds in between sets. Awesome pump afterwards, and I'm not even on Animal Pump yet... :)

Came home, ate 2 mozarella sticks, then ate 2 filet mignons with a salad and baked potato. Had bell peppers, shrimp, and nuts for a snack while the steaks were grilling. Good stuff. This was all within 1.5 hours of my workout.

Rest days are next in line...

Chest/Back

I'm re-typing this log again...my ISP is insolent. Anyway, I woke up, ate some cheerios and took the pak. Waited about an hour then I threw down M-Stak and left for the gym.

Got to the gym and began with chest:

+Dumbbell Press: 1x6 65lbs., 1x6 75lbs., 1x6 80lbs.
+Bench Press: 1x6 205lbs., 1x6 210 lbs., 1x4 225lbs. (bleh)
+Iso-lateral Wide Grip Chest Press: 1x8 225 lbs., 2x6 315 lbs.

Back:

+Bent Over Barbell Rows: 1x6 135 lbs., 1x6 155lbs., 1x5 165lbs.
+Deadlifts: 1x6 225lbs., 1x5 315 lbs., 1x4 315lbs.
+Dumbbell Rows: 1x6 55lbs., 1x6 65 lbs., 1x6 70lbs.
+Close Grip Lat Pulldowns: 3x6 145lbs.

After my lifts, I walked over to the trainer's desk and asked about getting my bf measured. So they gave me this small handheld machine. I entered my height, weight etc. The results: 5.6% bodyfat...haha. Now, I know I'm not 5%, that's ridiculous...and they did it twice. Anyway, that was my laugh for the day.
Also, my Animal Nitro-G order came in to the store I buy from, so I'll be picking that up with ym next paycheck.

Tomorrow is shoulders/traps.

Leg Day

Today was leg day...downed animal pak with breakfast after I woke up, waited 45 minutes, then took m-stak.
Got to the gym around 12:46pm.

Leg Extensions: 1x8 225lbs., 1x6 245lbs., 1x6 260lbs.(whole stack)
Leg Curls: 2x6 100lbs.
Seated Calve Raises: 1x6 310lbs., 1x6 320 lbs., 1x6 350lbs., (whole stack)
Free Weight Seated Calve Raises: 3x8 140 lbs.

Had to rush to work, so I didn't have time to eat (blasphemous I know), made up for lost calories when I got home...

+Dumbbell Laterals: 1x6 20lbs., 2x6 25lbs.

+Barbell Upright Rows: 1x8 95lbs., 2x6 115lbs. (I find that using the regular barbell is more effective/productive for me than using the EZ bar)
+Standing Shrugs: 1x6 315lbs., 2x6 365lbs.
+Seated Shrugs: 1x6 225lbs., 2x6 275lbs.

Chest/Back Day

Today was chest/back day. It was also my first day off of M-Stak and on shock therapy, storm, and pump. But, ironically, this was one of my least energetic workouts in a long time. Had to hold onto the racks after most of my heavy sets to keep from passing out. I don't know if it's because my body was used to M-Stak or what...but here's how it went:

Chest:

+Incline Isolateral Press: 3x8 225lbs.(warm up)
+Dumbbell Chest Press: 1x6 80lbs., 1x5 80lbs., 1x3 80lbs.
+Incline Bench Press: 2x6 155lbs., 1x4 155lbs.

Back:

+Bent Over Barbell Rows: 1x6 135lbs., 1x5 155lbs., 1x4 155lbs.
+Seated Close Grip Rows: 3x6 145lbs.
+Close Grip Lat Pulldown: 1x6 120lbs., 2x6 140lbs.
+Wide Grip Lat Pulldowns: 3x5 150lbs.
+Deadlifts: 3x6 225lbs. (90lbs. less than my usual weight)

After deadlifts, I was gone. Sitting here typing this and now I'm probably going to take a nap to try and gain some energy back. Tomorrow is leg day.

Today was fucking incredible. I decided to take my samples of storm and torrent 30 minutes before the workout instead of during my workout. I took these packs along with animal pump...a little dose of metal and self-psyching on the way to the gym took me a long way as well. Your mind can be your best friend, or your worst enemy while lifting.

I went up in every single one of my lifts today...

+Squats: 1x6 315lbs., 1x6 345lbs., 1x5 355lbs.
+Straight Leg Deads: 3x10 95lbs. (first time doing these in a looong time)
+Leg Press: 1x8 450lbs., 1x6 540lbs., 1x5 590lbs.
+Seated Calve Raises: 1x6 295lbs., 2x6 315lbs. (entire stack)
+One Legged Seated calve raises: 3x6 135lbs.
+Standing Calve Raises:3x6 300lbs. (entire stack)

It was brutal; and I must say, I am damn proud to increase all my leg lifts. Ladies and gentlemen, today was an Animal day.

On a comical sidenote, I went into the store that I buy my supps from after my workout, and asked him to order the new m-stak. So far, the owner has m-stak(old), cuts, nitro-g, pak, uni-liver, and flex. What's funny about it is that I'm the only one who buys Animal products at the store, and all the products were ordered by me...so I have my personal stockpile...good stuff.

Deposited my checks and picked up some Nitro-G today, had a pack right before and after my workout.

Shoulders:

+Dumbbell Lateral Raises: 3x6 30lbs.
+Bent Over Dumbbell Laterals: 3x6 35lbs.
+Dumbbell Press: 3x6 60lbs.
+Seated Military Press: 1x8 155lbs., 2x6 155lbs.
+Iso-Lateral Low Pulls: 1x12 135lbs., 1x6 225lbs., 1x5 275lbs.

Traps:

+Barbell Upright Rows: 3x6 115lbs.
+Shrugs: 3x6 275lbs.

Tomorrow is arm day.

Oh, and almost forgot to mention as I was walking out of the gym today, some girl looked at me, then my arms and said, "Ewww!" Best compliment I've gotten in a while.

Arm/Forearm Day

Not a great day today. I am not able to remember my numbers unfortunately, I suppose I had a bit of amnesia while I was barfing my brains out. Threw up violently twice after I came home then contracted a fever of 102. I'm giving my body a rest until it's fully recovered. Barely ate anything today (June 1), so I'm going to have to gorge after I get well again.

Chest/Back Day

Better from my sickness, I awoke feeling hungry again. Hungry for the iron, as well as food. Pak and some toast with jam all went down the hatch about an hour before lifting. I mixed some Nitro-G and sipped it during my workout...seemed to work fine. Also picked up some Animal Pump on the way back home.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
**Chest-
+Dumbbell Chest Press: 1x9 55lbs., 1x6 80lbs., 1x6 80lbs. (can't seem to break the 80lbs. plateau on this exercise, I'm counting on M-Stak to give me a boost next week)

+Bench Press: 3x6 185lbs.
+Sitting Chest Press: 3x6 225lbs.

**Back:
+Deadlifts: 1x8 225lbs., 2x6 275lbs. (On m-stak, I was able to throw down 315lbs. no problem)
+Bent Over Barbell Rows: 3x6 135lbs.
+Dumbbell Rows: 3x6 65lbs.

Tomorrow is leg day.

Leg Day

Ahhh yea, leg day. Came home, changed, took Animal pump, then Nitro-G. That shit together is no joke...I walked into the gym and felt like I was on crack. My eyes were darting everywhere, kept laughing for some reason after my sets...haha. Like I said, crack. The energy was unreal, couldn't stop moving:

Quadriceps:
+Smith Squats: 1x6 315 lbs., 1x6 335lbs., 1x4 345lbs. (my legs gave out when I tried to get the 5th rep)
+Leg Press: 1x6 450lbs., 1x6 540lbs., 1x3 540lbs.
+Leg Extensions: 2x6 275lbs.

Hamstrings:
+Ham Curls: 3x6 90lbs.

Calves:
+Seated Calve Raises: 3x6 395lbs. (whole stack, machine's too light for me now)
+Standing Calve Raises: 4x6 315lbs. (Again, the machine no longer suffices)

Fun and intense workout, still waiting for the new M-Stak to come in so I can break some of my plateaus.

Shoulder/Traps

Forgot my mixer when I left for work today, so I tried to pour my Nitro-G into a small plastic water bottle...didn't work too well, but I got what was possible into the small thing. Took pump before the workout as well.

Not as intense as yesterday, but still alright...

Shoulders:

+Shoulder Press: 1x10 35lbs.(warm-up), 1x6 60lbs., 1x6 55lbs.
+Bent Over Lateral Raises: 3x6 15lbs.
+Seated Laterals: 3x6 30lbs.
+Seated Military Press: 3x6 165lbs.

Traps:

+Barbell Shrugs: 3x6 225lbs.
+Upright Rows: 3x6 105lbs.
+Shrug Machine: 3x6 365lbs.

Could've done much better in my opinion...

Ordered the new m-stak online today, should get it in a few days. Tomorrow is arms.

Arm/Forearm Day

So, I wasn't getting the pump I expected off of one packet of Animal Pump from my previous workouts...so today, I decided to try 2 as BigAnt suggested in one of his threads. Took one packet 30 minutes before workout along with Nitro-G, then another right before my workout. That worked...very well. It took a few minutes, but when it kicked in, it kicked in...no laughing matter. At one point during my forearm exercises, I couldn't make a fist...felt great.

Triceps:

+Rope Pulldowns: 1x6 100lbs., 3x6 140lbs. (this is great as a first exercise for me, gives me a tricep pump you wouldn't believe)
+Tricep Arm Extension Machine: 3x6 145lbs.
+Straight Bar Pushdowns: 3x6 150lbs.
+Skull Crushers: 1x12 60lbs., 2x6 70lbs.
+Dumbbell Kickbacks: 2x6 20lbs.

At this point, my triceps were massive. Looked scary as hell...

Biceps:

+EZ Bar Preacher Curls: 1x10 60lbs., 2x6 80lbs., 1x4 80lbs. (I did these extremely slow and controlled;again, a great pump)
+Hammer Curls: 3x12 35lbs. (veins began to map the way during these)
+Concentration Curls: 2x4 40lbs.

Forearms:

+Standing Barbell Front Forearm Raises: 1x8 65lbs., 2x6 75lbs.
+Sitting forearm raises (wrist on knee): 3x6 20lbs.
+Behind Back Barbell raises: 1x12 135lbs., 2x8 185lbs.

Ended here, my arms were ridiculous looking. The pump was insane and it looked great. My arms were even more scary now...lol
I recommend taking 2 pumps to everyone who doesn't feel satisfied after taking 1...does wonders. The heart's fine too :)

Tomorrow is a rest day.

Chest/Back Day

Today was my first day back on M-Stak, and a great day it was...sorta. Was able to do 315 lbs. deadlifts for two reps for the first time since I was on my first cycle of m-stak. But, I'm feeling nautious now, and have been for the past few hours...I'm pretty sure it's because I took my m-stak, pump, and nitro too close to eachother.

Nice workout bro. Just out of curiousity why is it no good for ya because I was thinking about trying it out. Whats the main reason?

MetalAsh12

Thanks...

Everytime I take Nitro-G, I seem to get nautious and sometimes vomit. It may be the result of the proximity of my taking of the stuff, but I'm not taking any chances. Losing all those calories while vomiting just sucks, as well as vomiting itself...

Nice workout bro and nice squatting. Looking solid man keep that shit up !

Thanks. The squats as well as my other leg lifts are slowly but steadily progressing which I'm very happy about.

I am still a bit nautious today though. I'm going to not use any supplements for a day or two and see if that has an effect on my well-being; unless anyone else has any suggestions.

Just had an interesting conversation with my girl; One that reminded me why I lift and who I lift for.

She asked me why I liked Animal Pak so much. My response:

"I was never good at any sports as a kid...I was always the 'average' kid who never got the game ball, the one who rarely scored a goal at the lacrosse games, and the one who would be pushed around and walked over by the coaches from my hockey team. I never understood this because I was a genuinely nice kid, and obedient too. I used to think to myself, "there has to be something out there for me." So, one day I walked into the gym at my high school and said, "Hey, there's noone here...just me and the weights. Noone to badger me or scold me, noone to get on my case about not doing something to their exact specifications. My only critic in this room is me. So I started lifting, and began seeing results. I lifted my ass off; maybe not the right way, but I had the desire.
One afternon at graduation practice, some girl sits next to me and grabs my arm and says, "Where did this come from, Matt?" That's when I realized that I found something I could be more than average at. I found something that I could be the best at. I found something where I could command respect while doing from people years older than me. Ever since that day, I have lifted with one goal in mind: To become the biggest, scariest son of a bitch in my gym. When I passed some of those kids who laughed and prodded me in school as I was walking into the grocery store, they looked down. This was a great feeling and a realization that my goals were coming to light."
After telling her all that, I was reminded why I lift and who I lift for; myself.
She reminded me why I need to keep going...thank you.

To all the kids who laughed, fuck you. To all the coaches who shook their heads, fuck you. To everyone who didn't believe, fuck you. I am now an Animal, and you can never take that away.

Shoulders/Traps

Today was an all-natural day; no supplements whatsoever. Just good ol' food keeping me going.

Shoulders:

+Smith Seated Military Press: 3x6 165lbs.
+Cable Lateral Raises: 3x6 '5' (actual weight isn't posted)
+Shoulder Press: 2x4 55lbs.
+Seated Lateral Raises: 3x6 25lbs.

Traps:

+Barbell Upright Rows: 4x6 95lbs.
+Shrugs: 1x10 135lbs., 1x8 225lbs., 2x6 315lbs. (very slow and controlled)

Felt fine after this workout...no nausea or sick feelings. I'm hoping it's not the animal supps. causing the nausea. I gave my body a day to clean itself with no supps in the system...so we'll see tomorrow. I'll just do animal pak and m-stak tomorrow.

Back Day

Went to Firehouse Subs and had a large meatball sub for lunch...good stuff. Not the healthiest, but I'm bulking...so whatever.

Took my M-Stak about 15 minutes before lunch and my pump 4 hours later, 40 minutes before workout. Took the stims from both of them.
I still get nautious about midway through my workouts, and it lasts for about 3 hours after the workout...I think I'm going to cut out the pump for a while and see what happens.

***If anyone has any idea what this nautiousness could be related to, please let me know. It never happened before I went on Pump, so that's why I'm cutting the pump for a while. Please let me know if you have any ideas; I need help with this.***

Back:

+Dumbbell Rows: 1x10 70lbs., 2x6 80lbs.
+Seated straight bar rows: 2x8 120lbs., 1x6 135lbs.
+Lat Pulldowns: 3x6 135lbs.
+Close Grip Lat Pulldowns: 3x8 125lbs.
+Wide Grip Pullups: 2x6 BW
+Barbell Bent Over Rows: 3x6 135lbs.

Leg Day

I did not take Pump today, and I did not feel sick. So, I've identified the source of my nautiousness.

Legs:

+Leg Extensions: 5x6 240lbs. (entire stack)
+Ham Leg Curls: 3x6 90lbs.
+Seated Calve Raises: 3x6 300lbs.
+One-Legged Calve Raises: 3x8 130lbs.
+Standing calve Raises: 3x10 315lbs.

At this point, my legs were shaking...so I ended here.
As you can see, my hams are my weak point, so much work is needed here.

Tomorrow is shoulders/traps.

I have to apologize for not updating this in a while...I've been getting home late after work because I hit the gym immediately afterwards. I try to get in as much sleep as possible...

But, anyway; my lifeguarding job was cutting into my training: I wasn't able to eat enough while on stand for 9 hours a day...so I dropped the job. Now I won't be as beat up and I'll have more energy to train.

I just finished another week of training yesterday; I might go to the gym today just for my forearms. I'll begin logging again tomorrow.

Thanks, I've set aside a seperate day for my back now.
I was a lifeguard...but I never got to eat, and when I did and I had to go save someone, I felt as if I were going to throw up...
But the feeling of saving someone's life was unbeatable, great feeling.

Thanks for keeping tabs on this log, really appreciate it.

The V Squat is a freeweight machine where the footplate is slanted a bit...here's a picture:

The smith squat doesn't give me any back pain at all. Just be sure to have the bar centered on your shoulders and not on the tip of your spine, just as in regular squats.

Back Day
I only got about 5 hours of sleep the night before, so I was a bit groggy...still gave it my all though:

+Lat Pulldowns: 2x12 80lbs. (these two sets were extremely slow and controlled, I really squeezed my lats on these) 3x8 120lbs., 2x6 135lbs.
+Straight Bar Row: 2x6 120lbs., 1x6 135lbs., 1x6 145lbs., 1x5 150lbs.
+Bent Over Barbell Rows: 1x6 135lbs., 2x6 155lbs.
+Deadlifts: (I need to start putting these at the beginning of my workout so I have enough energy to give 'em my all)
+Dumbbell Rows: 3x8 65lbs. (I did these slow and controlled as well; felt as if my right lat was getting a better beating than my left, I'll have to concentrate on equality more next time I do these)

July 17, 2007
Leg Day

+Leg Press: 1x10 225lbs., 1x8 275lbs., 1x8 360lbs., 1x6 450lbs., 1x5 540lbs.

+Seated Ham Curls: 1x12 50lbs., 1x10 70lbs., 1x8 80lbs.

+Standing calve raises: 3x6 300lbs.

Solid chest, back, and leg day bro. Hows the Nitro G treatin ya?

Thanks man; the Nitro-G definitely gives me a fuller looking musculature, but it makes me feel odd. Not so much nautious this time, just a feeling of, "I better not eat for a while or I'll get nautious" kinda deal. I don't know what's up with me and Nitro-G, but I like it and I'll keep using it.

When do you and tuff guy wanna train?

+Machine Laterals: 1x15 40lbs., 1x10 80lbs., 1x8 95lbs., 2x6 100lbs. (done with extreme detail to form and negatives)
+Seated Dumbbell laterals: 3x6 25lbs.
+Standing Dumbbell Up and Outs: (don't know actual name) 2x6 25lbs., 1x5 25lbs.
+Dumbbell Shoulder Press: 3x5 60lbs.
+Smith Behind the Head Military press: 3x6 135lbs. (awesome definition when doing these)

+Plate Shrugs: 3x12 45lb. plates in each hand, gives a great pump if done very slow.
+Barbell Upright Rows: 3x6 105lbs.

Ended here with about 30 seconds in between sets.

In other news, the powerlifting team that I'm starting at my university is coming together well; sufficient interest has been shown by students.

Chest Day

As you can see, I took two rest days instead of one...I was still pretty sore in my tricep area yesterday and I felt I would've been overtraining if I did the gym. But anyway, today was chest day:

+Cable Crossovers: 1x10 40lbs., 2x6 80lbs.
+Bench Press: 1x6 205lbs., 1x5 225lbs., 1x4 225lbs., 1x5 205lbs.
+Dumbbell Chest Press: 1x5 85lbs., 1x4 85lbs., 1x5 80lbs.
+Incline Press: 1x6 135lbs., 1x3 180lbs.
+Pec Dec: 3x6 100lbs.

Ended here. I'm very happy with my bench today, it went back up to where it used to be. Now I can focus on breaking 300...cause I'll be having to bench way more than 3's at the meets.
I also have more news about the powerlifting team; I'm working on getting a coach. So far, I've spoken to Scott Shetler of Atlanta Iron and Sherman Ledford of the USAPL. If all goes well, the team will be up by August.

Also, my inner triceps are really starting to move in the growth area. They've always lagged a bit behind, but since I tried those incline skull crushers, they've been coming out...something I'm happy about. :)

Tomorrow is back day.

2 Pumps pre-workout...1 40 minutes before and 1 immediately pre-workout.

+Lat Pulldowns: 1x12 90lbs., 1x10 120lbs., 1x8 135lbs., 1x6 150lbs.

+Dumbbell Rows: 2x6 50lbs., 2x6 60lbs.
+Wide grip lat Pulldowns: 1x6 120lbs., 2x6 150lbs.

Thanks again animal pump for making me look like a FREAK! Haha, it was great.

Oh, and if you're wondering why my deadlift has considerably dropped, I'm doing them with just an overhand grip, not alternated...and let me tell ya, it's harder that way. You easily lose your grip with the heavier weight while using overhand grip. Trying to work back up to 315 on deads with the over grip.

Down to 1 bag of animal pump, so I went out today to try and find some. I figured I'd try this new nutrition store I saw earlier in the week while driving. It's called 'Good Nutrition,' and it looked well stocked from the outside...

Anyway, I walked in, found Animal Pak, but that's about it; no pump, m-stak, flex, uni-liver...nothing good except the pak.
I went up to the front of the store and asked if they had Animal Pump. This lady was one of those blonde california-type ditzes...she looked at me with a blank stare and asked what that was. I told her, and she said they didn't carry it. Then she started to obnoxiously push NO-Xplode...probably because that's the only bb supplement she knows of. So I politely said, "No," and started to walk out. She asked why I didn't want to try it, and I said, "I'm an Animal person, I only use their products." She then proceeded to salute me as I walked out...what the fuck. Never going back there again. I'll stick with the mom n' pops store I use near my gym.
Anyway, that was the most interesting thing that happened to me today.

Seems like I can't get enough of 'em, I'm still eating solid food, but I take in about 2500 calories a day from the shakes alone. So I have to fill only 500 calories for the rest of the day...ahahahhaa I'm in heaven

+Reverse Grip BB Rows: 1x10 135lbs., 1x6 185lbs., 1x10 135lbs.
+Dumbbell Pulls: 1x12 45lbs., 1x10 80lbs., 1x8 90lbs.
+Seated Close Grip Cable Pulls: 3x8 170lbs.

All my lifts are done completely raw except for squats where I use my belt and knee wraps...just fyi

Time was up here, had to get to chem. class just in time to do shitty on a quiz...at least my workout was good.
Also had to run to the doctor's to get my annual physical, had a nurse practitioner instead...and guess what; she asked me if I was taking steroids! What a surprise...day ends here when I can finally get a full god damn 8 hours of sleep. I'm also apparently 5'6.5" according to the bitchy office manager who measured me.

Tomorrow I'm heading to pick up my powerlifting gear.

I will tell you that 250 felt like nothing in that shirt.

Got the matching 'tattoos' from the bench shirt on each arm already. They're already dark red and look like they were made with a knife.

I'm going to take tomorrow off and get ready for bench day on monday with the team.

Scheduled a practice for my team yesterday, but forgot it was labor day. The gym was closed; practice is rescheduled for tomorrow. Some of these people I'm dealing are the most unreliable sons of bitches I have dealt with. They don't understand this shit's gonna require dedication...they'll figure it out when they eat iron on bench day tomorrow.

Met with some of the powerlifting team today; I went over proper bench form and how to use the shirt and all of that. They will have a lot of work to do to get ready for competition, but with determination they can do it. After I had a little meeting with them, I did my chest/tricep workout.

+Bench: 1x30 bar, 1x20 135lbs., 1x8 225lbs., 1x6 235lbs., 1x6 245lbs. (PR)
+Close Grip Bench: 2x8 135lbs., 1x6 155lbs.
+Single Arm Tricep Pushdowns: 1x30 40lbs., 1x25 50lbs., 1x10 60lbs., 1x8 70lbs.
+Incline Skull Crushers: 1x10 40lbs., 1x8 70lbs., 1x8 80lbs.
+Dumbbell Kickbacks: 1x12 15lbs., 2x12 20lbs.
+Iso-lateral Wide Press: 1x10 135lbs., 2x10 225lbs.

Triceps were pretty full and fried here, really happy about my PR on bench; did it with ease.

Chest/Tris/Calves

Walked into the gym feeling powerful and went straight to the bench. Someone had left the 45's on each side, so I figured with my genius logic that I would warm up with that instead of my usual barx30 warmup...stupid idea. I jumped on the bench completely cold and started doing the 135 warmup, and wouldn't ya know it, that searing pain in my upper left pec awoke from a one year slumber. Karma has a way with dealing cocky assholes their fair share...and I deserved every ounce of pain I got. I broke the number one rule in this game; WARM UP!
I continued to bench until I couldn't bear it any longer...got up to 205 for 4. Other than that though, I'm already seeing the fullness from stacking pump with m-stak, and I'm loving it!
