somebody PM U rep and find out if this is truth or not. One of my main reasons for bying animal and universal, besides the fact it kicks ass, is that their prices are actually alot cheaper than competitors on many items. I won't mention which, cause I'm not allowed but torrent is whey cheaper than other supps with similar ingredients.

as i buy my supps from their corporate office as well, it is true. all their products w/ whey go up in price june 1. oct 1 all others go up in price as well

It's not hard to believe...I work in the metal industry and the damn cost of raw materials goes p every week...so i can believe that UN would have to raise prices at some point....bidnes is bidness...but i believe that they will try to keep them as low as possible....

Inflation guys, its been happening since the first coin was traded at the 1st stall. I have great faith in UNIVERSAL, i cant see any drastic hikes. Most probably the manufacturing, packaging, shipping costs rise, employees of UNIVERSAL get a yearly pay rise, from the cleaner to the chief exec, its the economy. I pay silly money over here ($50 for PAK) but ive started to not even bother bout that now, as UNIVERSAL has served me so well, there products are priceless.

It's gonna happen in whatever industry you're in. Space Cowboy pretty well hit it on the head how it breaks down.
As is... Animal / UN just gave out hundreds of free shirts here, I believe another 25 over on BB.com, 50 people just got free Torrent / Pump for testing, they're letting us Beta their new Real Gains flavors.... the list could go on and on and on. Animal / UN treats us like loyal customers and if they gotta bump up the price a few dollars here or there, so be it!
No one, NO ONE, treats their customers like Animal / UN. It's that kind of relationship that'll keep me coming back.
Well, it don't hurt that they put out one of the best quality product line too!

FYI prices on whey supplements are going up for EVERYONE in the industry. Every company is raising their prices on whey protein because of the costs of raw goods.
If Universal raises prices, thats fine. It's a normal business practice in every industry. The products are still the best price/value on the market.

As I understand it and based on what I've heard, there is a tentative price increased slated for the Fall. As others have said, the price increase would be to cover the basic increased costs of doing business as a result of higher fuel costs (transportation), raw materials costs (think of whey and milk proteins), and the like. Nothing, as far as I know, has been 100% confirmed yet though. J-Dawg may know more.
I was on dpsnutrition.com last night and they posted this notice when I was searching under the Universal product line:

hey guys,
my ladys a food scientist, so she works in the food industry in general. There are quite a few world-wide shortages at the moment, these include whey and milk, hence the increases.
