Finding Bodybuilding Shows

I'm really new to this great sport, so I need the help of some experienced verterans. How do I go about finding shows in my local area (to either compete in or just watch). I hail from Waterford, Connnecticut and I would to discover some palces where I can really see bodybuilding in action. Thanks guys.

How often do they update that site. I want to be able to find a show around Oct or Nov. It will be my first show so I want to be able to have ample time. Is there any where else to find them?
