Hey Guys,
I'm on a bulk right now taking in 3000-31000 calories on lifting days. My gains through my first 2 weeks were awesome! (About 4.5-5 lbs with barely any bf increases). This morning (Saturday) I woke up at 170 even... keep in mind a few days ago I was waking up 172ish... I think my scale might be fucked up. My measurements in my arms are going up (a lot...) and my legs a little bit, and same with my chest (I missed a squat/bench workout the other day damnit...), but the scale weight is going down? How is that possible? That would mean I'm also losing bodyfat while putting on muscle? Hard to believe. I am eating clean day in and day out but I didn't think that was possible for someone who was already lean (about 12% BF starting). Should I start eating more? Should I give this another week? Any tips are appreciated.
I think if you are weighing yourself on a daily basis is normal to observe a variation of +/- 1 to 1.5 lbs. I would recommend you to take an average of your weight each week and compare week to week instead of day to day.
Unless you're a wrestler trying to cut weight, there's no need to weigh yourself every day, it'll just cause you to worry about the little stuff like that, and after all, bulking is a long term thing, you cant always expect to jump up in weight every day. However, you may sweat more in your sleep one night than you have in the past, that'll cause you to wake up a little lighter. Keep the temperature in you room in check. as a wrestler i never sucked weight, it was against my more important goals, but i know the tricks. If you go to bed and your room is cold, your body will fight more to keep you warm, burning more calories. On the other hand, if its too hot, you're just gonna flat out sweat. Also, maybe you didnt eat as much the night before?
Just some other possibilities.

Just keep doing what you're doing man. Your gonna hit a phase where you'll lose weight (that's ur body fat melting away) then you're gonna start gaining weight again. Try to have 4-6 meals a day (equally proportioned with at least 3 protein shakes somewhere in that 6 meals, this will help create lean muscle) lift heavier weights at less reps (eg. 3 sets of 6-8 to accelerate the production of thicker muscle fibers through shocking them) stay at this phase and you should gain some good quality mass. To top it off you can stack Animal Pak to provide yourself with the proper nutrients required from all the work, Animal Stak 2 to implement the unused testosterone for growth, then follow the Stak 2 cycle with the Animal M-Stak to synthesize protein at its full potential. Remember to eat well, and sleep 6-8 hours for recovery (when ur sleeping is when you build muscle)
Hope this helps bro

Oh believe me, I wasn't actually questioning my diet or training. I posted an article about my training in the training section and it's going very well right now. I eat 6-7 clean meals every day. 3000 calories in a 40-40-20 ratio of carbs-protein-fats. That keeps my protein intake to 1.5g per lb and everything and keeps the carbs at what I feel is a good amount to not be too little or too much. I was just looking for an explanation. It was kinda cold in my room last night heh. And I usually weigh myself and write it down only on Tuesday mornings (after my piss and before my breakfast). But a few times each week I'll just check it out. You guys are right, I'm going to keep to that calorie amount until my measurements slow down to a halt. Thanks a lot for the help guys.
EDIT: I am on Animal Pak and Animal M-Stak (which is what I attribute the barely any bodyfat increases to :))

As with lifting, there are dieting plateaus. YOu need to gradually ramp up the calories week to week. Also, eating more actually ramps up your metabolism. PLus, youre eating clean (which you should always do, even on a bulk). Just make sure you are getting around 250g of protein every day and your average daily carb intake is going up every week.
Those are some good points Brute. I did undereat on a lifting day this week (Monday) which also, by chance, turned into some shit-assed Bowflex workout (wtf...). I ramped up the calories for the rest of the week though. Previous week I was around 2600-2700 on lifting days this week it was 2900-3000 and I'll probably do the same for next week also. It better not be a fuckin dieting plateau it's only my third fuckin week! I'll probably be pretty pissed if that's the case. With the gains I made in the first two weeks... that plateau would be comparable to driving a Lamborghini 250 mph into a steel fuckin wall...
