I have decided to begin to log my workouts on here. Any input is welcome gents and ladies.


Today July 19 (back day)
Didn't feel too good going into the gym, maybe because I had to get up at 2am to work and didn't get to bed till 5am. I have noticed though that my best workouts are when I am not feeling up to it.

I haven't been deadlifting for too long only about 2 to 3 months, sill trying to find my grip/foot position when I feel comfortable doing these i will start to up the weight..so some days are great and some are not so great!!

Very short rest between all sets and exercises, had to get in and out in less than an hour, mission accomplished. Back feels tight and tired.

good stuff bro when u deadlift tho remember to keep your shins right on the bar close together so u can grip it closer.... you'll feel a world of difference....

thanks bro, I just discovered that trick you are talking about...I used to grip very wide and that pretty much sucked.....right now I'm concentration on keeping my ass down and not come up too quick....thanks bro wish I would have posted a while back and maybe I would have gotten the tip earlier.

July 20 Chest Day
Felt pretty good before heading to the gym, so I figured I'd give the flat bench a try and see if my shoulder acts up...this is how it went!!!

Incline BB press
warmup 135x12 and with some rotator cuff movements.
185x10
205x8
225x6
135 to failure

Flat BB press, didn't want to go to heavy but did it more for the feel and see if my shoulder would act up

felt pretty good just a bit of discomfort but didn't want to push it too much.
I also notice that my rotator cuff is doing much better since I wasn't shaking too much. I'll start uping the weight on the next work out and see how it feels.

I was beat pretty good had to sit down for a little bit to go change before coming home to eat. All set were done with a 45s to 1min rest. Fast paced workout no bullshit get in and get out. Got done in less than 1hr

Let's do it bro.....I have learned to LOVE legs. I used to hate squats and now i wouldn't go with out them.

thanks bro, it's my rotator cuff I have a problem with stability/strength with it, BigAnt made some suggestions for me and so far it has been working pretty good.

Yes he is bro....I just haven't seen any other place where you have PRO's helping out and are available as much as the guys here at animalpak.

On a side not I ran into a guy today that I hadn't seen in about 6 months and he walked over and asked me what I was doing cus I looked like I put some mass. I told him yes I have put on about 40lbs since we last talked, the conversation than turned to sups and the dude has been on the Pak for 5yrs! that was totally awesome

shoulder is comin along pretty good bro, thanks for asking!!! It's been a little sore but that's it no pain/discomfort anymore for a few days. It was pretty bad when I did bb flat bench and that was the only time it bothered me.
walking the dog is a routine now twice a day we do hour 2 mile walks...keeps him active and wears him out.

friday 7/27

Had an ok back workout today, decided to really concentrate on my DL form. Didn't go too heavy or too many reps, but instead got in a corner on the gym where I was surrounded by mirrors so I can really look to see my form. It worked pretty well, found out I was lifting my ass a little to quick when doing my Deads which in turn makes me go forward and push with balls of my feet. So I worked on really concentrating on the lift itself and try to correct what I'm doing wrong.

200x6 drops to 180,140 and 100 all drops were done to failure, the 100 was harder to do than the 200.

I'm pretty beat as I didn't rest more than 45s between sets.

My Husky Tahoe we had for 11 or 12 years, he passed a couple of years ago, he was a great dog.

She is 7, we got her as an 8 week old pup. Tahoe schooled her well.


I love Huskys, may get another one someday. We all are gone so much in the day that I don't think it would be fair to get a dog now.

I hear you brotha, I'm always out with Bandit and people are always telling me that he is a lucky dog that I must really love him. I do but I also have to be a responsible dog owner and there's a lot of people out there that shouldn't own any dogs.

I believe that. Tahoe was the most well behaved dog, but when he wanted to run there was no stopping him, ever.

Don't know what these are called but its the cable machine with the D-handles at on the bottom...so you start the movement at the bottom and end at the top.

50x12 (last two reps was a struggle)

The pressing movements I had about 1min and 30 sec rests
with the fly's all my rest periods were less than 45sec's.
Achieved an awesome pump from the get go and it lasted till I got home.

Just keep working at it bro and you'll be there in no time. 6 months ago I was only able to do the 85's.

I hear ya there man, I went for a 2mile walk with my dog and it was a lil rough at first, the wheels were tight and sore until I was warmed up. Gotta love leg day....I do!!

I've never done rack pulls, my problem when doing deads is when getting the weight up to my knees...from there up I have ho problems with the lifts. It would be great for you guys to give me input when doing my deads.

I've been on my cut diet for the past 2 weeks and I'm starting to feel the effects, not bad so far, the only thing I've noticed is that I get hungry about 30min after I eat. Started to cut after putting on about 40lbs, started bulking at 195lbs w/12-14% bf and got up to 235 w/16-18% bf in about 6 months. So far I have lost about 5lbs in 2 weeks. bro, sometimes I feel hungry and sometimes I don't...I just think it's my body adjusting to the dieting.
In the past I have just gotten used to it and I would use a cheat meal once a week on my leg or back day...the way i saw it is it gave me incentive to diet good until the cheat day....this time I might use a cheat meal once every 2 weeks and eventually get rid of the cheat meal.

Tweak the diet try eating more during the day then slowly lowering the cals the rest of the day...my last meal on sat and sunday is like a no carb shake and two slices of roast beef.about 230 cals all togetther for the last meal...

Solid wheel blast there ...love the balance the press and the squats look really good...

He won't be released from the hospital at least until tomorrow, apparently during birth he swallowed some fluid and has to stay for monitoring, the doctors are also monitoring his blood, I'm not sure what or why. All seems to be good though but he's being kept in for precautionary purposes. Hopefully him, mom and dad can be home soon.

Well I spent the last couple of days with the family, we have been taking care of their dog and I really haven't been able to go to the gym...my family comes first above anything....the baby got an infection and has to be kept in the hospital till Thursday...from talking to the doctors it doesn't sound serious but better safe than sorry...so right now I'm not concentrating on training but rather on being with the family...i hope everyone is well on here and will post more info as I can and obtain it.
