Animal Crew-
I wanted to send a huge congratulations to a good friend of mine, Ms. Debbie Bramwell , for her win ! She is now an IFBB PRO!
This woman has worked hard, FOR YEARS......... and it's long overdue for her. The competition was deep at this show, and I was glad to see her nail her spot.
Debbie and I have been friends for a long time, and have competed together for years........ but we're connected on another level too. We both share the same "handicap."
Both of us are partially deaf.
Nothing like seeing somebody take the hand God gave you, and steam roll right over the obstacle, whether it's a handicap or life crisis...... For some of us, we've dealt with both....More power to her, as she's a strong lady on the inside and the outside.
Love you, Debbie!

sadly, i'm getting on that train as well. too many concerts back in the 80's, then as a drummer from 84 to 91 (ish) with no hearing protection. on top of that, road racing motorcycles from 95-99 with no ear plugs. big wreck, almost died, then started wearing noise filters until current day. doc says "a matter of time, short time" before i'm in trouble. sounds now are muffled and i get the dreadded "ringing" more frequently. it's all my fault and i'll handle it the best i can....but good show for all the gals (sorry for the thread hijack)

Mine is considered mild to moderate, with only a 20-30% loss in my left ear. Certainly not "much" by medical standards, but enough that it made it hard for me as a child. It was hard from the beginning.......
So, when other kids were playing dodgeball, I was in speech therapy, learning how to talk.
When other kids were riding their bikes, I was in physical therapy learning how to walk due to all the complications I had as premature baby........
So, when people say where does the drive come from....... "that" is where it comes from...... People nowadays see a bodybuilder- but what do "I" see.....? I still see a handicapped , crippled little girl that was fighting bullies on a playground.
33 years old, and I'm still fighting bullies on the playground....... Now, it's just a different "playground."
