I'm more of a powerlifter then a bodybuilder due to my huge size, but don't get me wrong I love the way of life. I am gonna be competing in a NASA lift coming up, and the rules say a single ply bench shirt is o.k.. I'm thinking of using the inzer rage x shirt, but have never used one before and i am open to any suggestions at all about bench shirts. I would like to get every little bit of extra help I can. Please help!, if you know any better brand shirt or any suggestions. thanks.

Your not raw if your using a shirt man. The most popular shirts on the market right now single ply are Titan F6, Titan Fury, Titan Katana, Inzer Rage, Inzer Rage X, and the Metal Bencher. But every shirt works differently for others, depending on your size, weight, arm length, technique, arch and various other factors. If you can give me the low down on some of these factors I can help narrow it down for you?

I'm 6' 1" around 320 pounds, my arm length is around 26 inches, I don't arch hardly at all when I bench, and my grip is my pinkys around the guide rings and elbows tucked in. I bring the bar all the way down to just below the nipple line.
I wouldn't try to use a shirt if the comp is any time soon. If you are going to use a shirt you have to train in it. A shirt will change the way you lift and take some time to get use to it. Best advice i have is to find someone that use a shirt and start to train with them.

How much time do you have?
Buy an Inzer HD Blast (inexpensive & effective) and train with it.

Forgive me for sounding like a noob, but I'm fairly new to this game still and I did not know there was a bench shirt. What are the advantages of having this shirt, and if any, disadvantages.

Advan. Push more weight, lessen the chance of injury(like a knee brace)
Disa. Chance the way you bench to be most effective, hurt like hell to use(leave scares or bruse), hard to get fitted properly and hard to get(esp. from inzer), cost(a blast shirt can cost $40 or better a good Phenom or denim can be over $200), need some else to help put it on and spot

I say this EVERY post. READ AS MUCH AS YOU CAN BEFORE YOU POST QUESTIONS like "What is a benchshirt?" on a powerlifting forum.
