Just wanted to let everone know I decided not to do the USA's at the last minute. I didnt feel 100%. I am competing to earn a pro card not to just do competitions. I will be at the USA's still so if you are going to be there look me up. I am going to continue to train and focus on the North Americans in Cleveland Ohio in 5 weeks. That is where I plan to put my Blueprint to Redemption in action.

This is the EXACT scenario that happened to me in 2004. I was planning on going to the USA's and then the North Americans.

When push came to shove and I realized I needed more time, I opted out of the first show, and went on to win the NA.......

Gave Ms. Nelson a real run for her money for the Pro Card, but she ended up getting it.

No matter- I'll be back.......... and I will get it.

,..........And , so will you.

Onwards and upwards , my friend.

No rest for the wicked.

Good call House. It is the mark of the proffesional in you that you knew when to back off a little and maximize your potential.

5 more weeks to get your shred on.

You know when you get that gut feeling and don't listen to what it is telling you, then you end up regretting it later?

Well sometimes you got to listen to what your heart is telling you and forget about the gut feelings and let what is in your heart be the force that drives you.

Good luck on the North Americans Bro. Wish you the best of luck and I am sure the "Blueprint" will only be modified to make the final touches even more refined.

House, sometimes it is harder not to do something than to do it. The next 5 weeks will allow you plenty of time to bee 100% ready. I respect the fact that you changed your plans, very admireable.

I also wanted to point out what House made in his initial post..........he competes for the Pro Card- he doesn't compete just to do competitions, as many athletes do.

People compete for different reasons, but when you compete to win, you have to exercise sound judgment and make the best decisions for your career- both as an amateur and as a professional. Obviously, House is making the best call; the one he feels is best for his career.

This is what being "flexible" is all about. He wanted to rock the house at the USA' s and now, he's regrouping to take a shot in another show.

Mad props for making the best decision........
