all right man heres the deal. I have kind of a problem. Certain body parts of mine grow like weeds. (Pretty much anything) Except for the most important part. The back. I cant seem to get a pump. Even though I would consider myself to be strong in the area of back(barbell row 315 for reps, pullovers with 150's) I cant see to get my wings to fly. I have tried anything. slow reps. explosive. what the fuck, what am I doing wrong
Vinny,
My question relates to back as well. My left lat is smaller/weaker than my right side. The days I do overhand grip pulldowns and bb rows, my right (stronger) side feels a lot more sore. I'm obviously getting more power from this side. Lately, I've been doing underhand grip wide pulldowns (Jay Cutler style) and underhand bb rows. I think its a little better when I do them underhand. Do you got any other suggestions to bring my left side up? I'm hoping to compete next summer for my first time and I'd like to bring this side up in time. Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks!
welcome back dude i know we have not talked yet, im draga 21 uk new start :)

Fricken Frick I copied your low carb diet somewhere when I was at work now I am looking on here, searching and can't find it. It was the cut diet then you showed how you added oatmeal and rice to bulk If you wouldn't mind linking it or posting it ,it would be much appreciated.

What is up next for Big Vin? Show? Training?

ok, i am the same way....G can tell ya that when he saw me train, he was very suprised that i trained back LIGHT...i contract on every rep, and hold it for a count of 2 on every rep.
i trained this way over the last year, and my back has never been thicker, wider or deeper.

keep doing what you are doing...but try doing 1 arm dumbell pullovers. use a light weight and just focus on the stretch....then super set it with the cutler way of pulldowns....even try doing 1 arm row with a cable.

So when I do these one arm movements, should I also be doing them for my good side? Or just my weak side?

Hey Vinny, can you explain water manipulation, pre-contest, in detail? Thanks bro.
So when I do these one arm movements, should I also be doing them for my good side? Or just my weak side?
BOTH SIDES....think of them as warm ups before you move onto rows and t-bars.

your arms are too big....then your training way too heavy for your back and using your arms too much in the movement....train smart -
Hey Vinny, can you explain water manipulation, pre-contest, in detail? Thanks bro.
DAMN what the fuck...LOL
you dont drink water...your body HOLDS water and you look like shit-
you drink a gallon or a little more during the day...you hold very little, and look great...and your muscles are able to get a great pump and contraction.
water is the main key...
BOTH SIDES....think of them as warm ups before you move onto rows and t-bars.
Thanks a lot Vinny. Today's back day.. I'll be sure to give these a try.

Vinny,
Would you mind posting a sample of your off season chest routine?
And do you train calves heavy with low reps or lighter with higher reps. I ask cause you have some great calf development.
Thanks.

after i partialy tore my bicep tendon last year, i lost control in holding dumbells.
i never bench press...i only feel it in my shoulders.
i'm at 90's right now with the dumbell incline....trying to get back to the 130's-
for the most part here is what i been doing:
hammer incline- 4 sets 7-10 reps
dumbell incline- 4 sets 7-10 reps
dips- 4 sets 8 reps each
cable cross over 2 sets 15 reps
calves....NEVER train them

side laterials off an incline...like arnold did them.
wide high pulls, barbel or dumbell....kinda like up right row, but wider -
heavy side laterials

Hey Vinny,
What does your pre-contest diet look like?
I have great results with a very low to zero carb diet...each meal has about 8ounces of protien in weight, with tons of green veggies...over 6 meals a day

any lagging bodypart should be hit hard and often, and then leave it alone.
train calfs every other day for a month, then hit them once every 10 days , repeat.

i used to do cardio for each show, then i realized i can get in shape with zero cardio.....but after all said and done, i will be going back on the stairmill and treadmill for my next contest.

Vinny,
Hey man hows shit?...I have a question on your bicep Delevopment and injury/recovery...first off you had some pretty sick Biceps at the masters....but anyhow....you injured you bi did that change the shape of your by since it was a tendon injury..... You mentioned that you took 4 weeks off and starting back up slowly....is that "normal time" for an injury like that or is it just the specific time you were given...Just wondering if an injury to a tendon or muscle can "change" the way a muslce is presented (for example a shoulder injury and one rear delt wont pop out or like a hernia surgery and a less visible lower ab?)
Thanks man

I never had any formal anatomy studying, but here it goes.
your muscle turns into tendon that attaches to bone, i tore my tendon partialy and it did leave a little gap.
if the tendon would have torn completly off the bone then the muscle would have rolled up my arm.
there are also injuries of the bicep where the muscle gets torn in half....thats not good....that can not be repaired by surgery.
my injury did not call for the knife, scar tissue built up in replace of the torn tendon.
it was really 8 weeks before i started lifting 5lb dumbells very slow.
it does not look as bad as it did 6 months ago...

Cool man thanks!
Cool man thanks!
ANY TIME
how was your back training?
Very good thanks. I've done back twice since you gave me that advice. The first time I did pullovers on a machine and then dumbbells the second time. I did them one side at a time both ways. I found that my back was a lot more sore from the dumbbell pullovers over the machine. For some reason though, my right (stronger) side is still more sore than the left
Here's what I did last night:
Deadlifts 3x12,7,3
DB One handed pullovers 4x10 (really tried feeling the stretch)
superset with:
Wide grip underhand pulldowns 4x10-12
Off-rack db rows 3x8-12
Old School Tbar Rows 3x12-8 (last one was a drop set)
Widegrip cable rows 3x8-12
Close grip pulldown 2x8-10
Also, when I do deadlifts I dont alternate my grip from set to set. Do you think that makes a difference?
hey vinny, whats ur take on deadliftig- how often and full or rack? ad do u prefer 3 or 4 days splits?? could 3 be just as effective if you still have real intense workouts? sorry, i still got a lot to learn here! thaks and good luck ona fast road to recovery!

I dont think one way is the only way to train....so i like doing deads from the floor and partial....both in the rack.
I train back and everything else only once a week.
if i break my form i go lighter, sometimes i do sets of 6-8 and sometimes i pull for 20 reps.

Well I'm not totally sure. I keep my right hand in an underhand grip on all my sets. I'm not sure if this is contributing to my problem of my right lat being bigger.

Vinny,
I am not sure if this is in your arsonal of arm exercises but I am a bit confused...I like to switch up my final bicep exersise usually every 2 work outs just light weight high reps to get the last rush of blood in my arms.....(I do bis and tris together in my current split your opinion on that would also be great...but tris are done first larger muscle group first from what I have gathered and they lag)......ok to the question
Over head cable curl in the cross over station....not only the effetiveness but the arm positioning....the arms straight out or angled up from the body? or is it just the positioning of the pulley set to the bar I have noticed that if I do have it high and pull my arms straing out from my torso that it gives a not so pleasant feeling to the delts even with light weight and to curl to the back of the head....I get 3 sets of 15 reps just to finish with a good stretch....Any info or advice would be great!!!

OK...Since day one, 24 years ago, i would do an exercise as it was demonstrated in the magazines, books or manuals. But if it gave a weird feeling in my shoulders or lower back or something was not right, i'd tweak the exercise to work for me.
when doing any exercise dont focus on if the positioning is right...focus on that fact that you are feeling it in the muscle you are training.
i'm not saying train with bad form or do an exercise sloppy....dont worry on how "they" say to train....try it and if it feels good to you...then great, if not tweak it to feel good for ya.
i dont like training bi's and tri's together....
i also train on how i feel when i get warmed up...most people say "oh i train how i feel" well if thats the case then most would have crappy workouts.
i leave my ego and daily bullshit at the door....i get warmed up and if i feel like going heavy i try, and if it kicks my ass....i train lighter, and if i feel like training light with high reps, but feel very strong....then i hit 6-8 reps with heavy weights.

Vinny,
3 months ago I tore my bicep tendon and noticed you also did. I had surgery and now am just starting to get back to the gym. I have been going all during my rehab but just working legs and doing cardio. I wanted to know how is it to lift after having an injury like this. Can you still do curls and deadlifts ok with no problems?? I have healed very well, but am a little nervous about doing any bi's or back exercises with the arm. It feels great!! Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. As a fellow lifter you can imagine I'm excited to get back to the gym, but also worried about what to expect in the next couple months. Thanks again!!!

ouch...
i wasn't as bad as you....i did not need surgery.
start with 5lb weights...start curling very easy and slow, if need to, support your arm on a preacher.
when training back i just went very light and slow.
i trained this way for 8 weeks, but over that time i slowly added weight but always moved slow.
1 year later im up to curling 110lb again on the barbell, and the other night pulled 210 close grip pulldowns.
you will be fine...just baby it....it tok me a long time to feel strong curling a 25lb dumbell.
leave the ego at the door and you will be cool.

Vinny, I know cardio changes when bulking or cutting, but how about abdominal training? As in different amount of sets, weighted sets, etc. on a bulk.

the ab's are muscles....they grow -
i never train ab's in the offseason, and when i do them starting at 8 weeks out from a contest.....its maybe 2x a week with no weights.
yo vinny, if you ever take a vacation, come to mauritius. Here, the only brands we have are universal and optimum and the only posters we have hanging on every sport shop are that of vinny galanti and frank mcgrath;)
Now back on topic: I have high lat insertions.Should i emphasize more on pulling or rowing movements? My current routine looks like this:
lat pulldowns
bb rows
deadlifts
db rows
cable rows
standing cable rows

Hey Vinny, whether you turn pro or not...you should know that you are one of the most well respected people around...notice I didn't say bodybuilder. Sure you are respected as a bodybuilder through your accomplishments in your sport, that is a given...but to be respected as a person says a lot more to me than just being respected in your sport. I am sure that i am not the only one here who feels this way, I have never even met you but the advice that you are always willing to give people here and the numerous articles you have written say enough about you for me to know that you are a great person. Pro...not pro, who cares...respected, that is what matters...and you have mine to the utmost. Keep it up. Peace and Train Hard!

What's up Vinny? I'm new to the scene. I am 26 and I just got my first gym membership yesterday. I now have motivation like never before, mainly due to this site, but i still lack the knowledge. I am hitting the gym twice a day, morning weights/afternoon cardio, my goal is to lose weight along with adding some size. My diet is on lock down too. But what can I drink during both my workouts other than water to help me reach my goal? Creatine, protein?

i won my weight class in the 93 usa, and the pdi offered me a pro card, and at first it was exciting to think of competing as a pro, but i want to earn my pro card not have it handed to me, so i decided not to compete in the pdi organization.

Some people step on stage and get a trophy and are called champions.
Some people give everything they have to help others become not only better bodybuilders but better people. You are in this catagory Vinny. These people in my book are CHAMPIONS!!!
Hey Vinny,
How heavy do you get in the offseason, what is your competition weight, how many months do you give yourself to get conditioned? Also, when you are carb cycling as you diet down, do you have low/med/high days or do you just do low carb days with periodic refeeds?

I have not had a good offseason in a long time, and that is my fault.
but right now i am 215 with ab's, my carbs are high...500 grams daily.
i have rotated my carbs for a contest and have done....more recently zero carbs, high protein, and good fats.....both have worked.
as mush as i can get away with zero cardio...my recent condition did not come close to the shape i used to come into shows with....so with saying that, i will be going back to having cardio in my program.
right now im doing 20 min after training, and i will start training and dieting at 12 weeks out for my next contest.
Vinny, Several of the bodybuilders at the gym I workout at bring there albows forward when doing any biceps curls and they all have big arms. I have always been told to keep your elbows to your side without moving it, is that the correct way or should I bring my elbow forward? Thanks in advance.

Hey Vinny,
Since my injury I have been doing lights weights and cardio to try to keep low bodyfat so when I lift with the big boys again I can concentrate on adding good muscle and not buring fat. I did track in high school and recently went to the track to do some short sprints for cardio to mix it up. just mostly 200's and a few 400's. Do you ever do sprints?? I read high intensity cardio burns fat fast and keeps the muscle on. Not sure how true this is. All I know is my cardio seems like it goes by quick and its very intense. The less time it takes me to do cardio the better;-) Any thoughts??
Thanks bro..

for the most part keep your elbows stable....as you raise the weight, try not to move your elbows.....but i have seen guys with huge arms train sloppy, and when i try heavy weight, i get sloppy too.

my question is related to cardio, right now I cannot afford a treadmill or cardio equipment, so I run outside with an 80 pound weighted vest. Is it best to do this in the morning or post workout? and also, I know they say running is bad for muscle gains and strength, so I supplement a lot with glutamine, and need to lose a good amount of weight 20 to 30 pounds, I am trying to preserve as much strength as possible, and want to know if i am headed in the right direction. I workout in gym but gym does not have good cardio equipment, also most cardio machines can't hold me well and I break them down pretty fast as I weigh over 250 pounds and do High Intensity Cardio.
Thanks for your time.

i think you should focus more on eating 6 small meals a day and get that in check first.

sorry, didn't mean to come out with a big ego thing, what I meant to say is that since my cardio
is very intense, and that H.I.T. cardio was the only type of cardio that had a dramatic effect on me, i.e. sprinting very fast on a treadmill, the low quality ones wear out very fast, the ones that don't cost a lot of money, which I don't have and is not there at my gym.
but I see what you mean, I am going to include a training program along with cardio regimen, and track my progress from there.
hey vinny do you personally think it is better to use light enough weight to use perfect form all the time or sacrifice some of the form- (cheating a bit) to use heavier weight? i ask this because of the saying "cheat to grow". Thanks

im all about form, getting blood in the muscle.
heavy and light are not the same for everyone.
i like to use weight that im comfortable with...i can squat 495 for 8-10, but all it does is hurt my back and i feel nothing in my thighs.
i can bench press 315 for 8, but it kills my shoulders.
but sometimes i think its is very important to push weight you are not used to using, so you can get past sticking points in your training, and if that means 2 or 3 weeks sacrificing good form and cheating...then yes.
but i dont think it should be done more than 3 weeks, so that your tendons dont take too much of a beating.
Hey Vinny,
This question regards carb cycling. On high carb days, do you recommend consuming the majority of the extra carbs upon waking/post workout when your body is primed to soak up the nutrients.....or do you recommend dispersing it throughout the entire day? Any specific reasons?
on high carb days, i would spread them througout the day, and if you are only having 1 carb meal on a training day...save the carbs for after training.

i have found sticking with a high rep set for tri's made mine grow.
i'll put 135 on the bar and do 4 sets of 15 to 20 with close grip bench
v-bar push downs, 3 sets of 15 reps
seated overhead ez-bar extentions, 3 sets of 15 reps
i train arms very slow since my little tendon injury last year, and my arms have improved.

Vinny, whats up brotha. OK I finally have a question for you. I notice that you said that your back really improved over the last year by using a 2 count hold at the contraction point. I know Yates used to use this technique as well saying that if you cant hold the weight at the point of static contraction then you must have gotten the weight there by some other means than muscle power...he goes on by saying that it must have gotten there by momentum. So afer all that rambling, I was just wondering if using a 1 or 2 count hold at the top is something you recommend using on every bodypart or just back. Thanks in advance for your help bro. Peace.

Vinny,
I recently have just changed up my diet to a more bodybuilding style diet. I am eating more often (5-6 meals), of clean foods (brown rice, oatmeal, eggs, chicken beef...) When I weighed myself this morning I weighed 179lbs and during the summer I was around 185lbs. Have you found that one would lose weight before gaining when switching to a cleaner diet? Thanks for your help.

By the way, I tried the 2 count hold last night on chest and I swear that my chest was an inch bigger by the end of the workout...at least that is what it felt like with all that damn blood in the muscle. So, we agreed on this:

Tuesday: Legs, Back, Bi's
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: Chest, Shoulders, Tri's
Friday: Legs, Back, Bi's

Sunday: Off

personaly i would not train chest/shoulders on the same day, and i would NEVER train legs with any other bodypart.
shocking the crap out of your muscles, in my opinion has more to do with intense training and pushing the limit....not training more bodyparts in one session.
i have said in other threads that i change the stlye of training that im doing every 3-4 weeks even it i feel good enough to keep going, meaning....if i'm training with low reps and im still strong at the end of the 4th week i can keep going...i change it up to 3-4 weeks of maybe drop sets or supersets.
doing it this way for me shocks the muscles, keeps me from not getting bored and enjoying the gym more.

Hello sir! Everythings lookin good with you, now I've got a question sir. Since you're talking about not training more than one body part at a time...but rather the intensity being high...and not training shoulders with chest....would that mean that the #6 routine in the training section on the AP site is not that good?
I started it two weeks ago...and I feel fuller, but maybe it's just in my head, you know, that place is kinda crazy...
On the other hand...you know when you lose a whole lot of weight, your metabolism starts to fuckin cook like a whore, okay, so when you bulk...is it going to slow down? If it starts to slow down, should I get off of weight-gainer....because weight...is just a number....and people go by that, instead of the mirror....so should I just switch to protein (casein, whey isolates) so that I don't gain that much fat?
So many questions, and not that much time, but thank you for your interest.
Much love brother, stay strong Animal! :)

i train that way for me, because thats just what i like to do....#6 is a guide for you, not something that should be praised....if you like it, then great...if not, then move on....bodybuilding training is about knowing what works for you.
If it starts to slow down, should I get off of weight-gainer....because weight...is just a number....and people go by that, instead of the mirror....so should I just switch to protein (casein, whey isolates) so that I don't gain that much fat?
well if you start to look like a fat bastard then your eating way too much...lol
So many questions, and not that much time, but thank you for your interest.
we have plenty of time.......ask away, but can you ask....1 at a time...lol
Much love brother, stay strong Animal! :)
you got it brotha

Hows your bowling game? ha
Remember, any good workouts for upper chest thickness?
and do you have an opinion on barbell pullovers as opposed to dumbell pullovers?

I am retired from bowling.....lol
i think thickness comes from heavy training...
i like both pullovers, but i dont do them lying across the bench, i like doing them lying down as if you were to do a bench press.

Vinny,
You have some shredded, awesome looking legs and thats one of my goals right now. I have good mass and strength right now. The last 3 weeks I have been doing sprints at the track and also did 8 rounds of bleachers which has already helped with some defination (thanks for that tip). Anyways, I used to always squat, deadlift, and leg press heavy, but this past month I'm using supersets. Like I said I am notcing some more defination, but no where close to where I want to be. I have not dropped carbs yet, so thats my next thing to do. Any other tips for me? You and the house have some of the sickest legs I have ever seen. lol. Thanks boss!

It sounds like you are responding to the change of work load you are putting your legs through, i believe that if you change the style of workout every month, you will always see improvements.
the house has way better legs than i can ever have.....but thanks for the compliment.

Hey Vinny,
First and foremost, I want to tell you that you are a true inspiration to all of us here, and that you represent the sport very well on and off the stage. My question is what to do with my chest. My left pec is getting way bigger than my right. My right one i can't flex nearyl as well and it never gets a pump now, because the left pec takes over much of the load. I have tried adding extra sets at the end with just the right arm like on the pec dec flyes and it still hasnt worked. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. It even feels funny now when i have a shirt on because it sits akward on my chest because of the difference. Thanks

how do u feel about wearing a belt and knee wraps?
i read one article on universalnutrition.com
it was by joe deangels
he said he never wears belts or wraps cuz it takes pressure away from the lower back and wraps compress the knee caps something around there
but i see every bodybuilder wrappin up their knees, wrists, elbows, even arnold did, and using belts
any input?

you should go to the chiropractor....i dont think that is a training problem, sounds like you might have a pinhed nerve coming from the back area, or trap area.
i also wanted to add.....if you know anyone in your area that does A.R.T
go see them....it is ACTIVE RELEASE TECHNIQUE.
Go search google.com for someone in your area.
i had the same problem, and it turned out i had a piched nerve from my right trap into my pec, and the ART fixed it fast.

in my opinion if you train with a belt, and today no belt....i'd say that proves that using a belt has weaken your back.
When you begin to prep for a show, do you solely go by the mirror or do you also use a bodyfat thing to let you know where you are at. I believe that the mirror should be used over some machine because they don't lie. just curious....

Much agreed with you on this one bro. I feel the same way...too many people get caught up in numbers and portions and calories and fail to do the one thing that will make them suceed...listen to your body and learn to know your body well enough that you know just from looking or how you feel what you need to be doing. Good advice brotha. Peace.

Hey Vinny, I need some help bro. Today I was working out my abs. After crunches I was doing Leg Raises. During the leg raises when ever I brought my legs down my left hip sort of clicked at the bottom. It was the hip joint probably going against each other. Now it didnt bring me pain at all. It just made these cracking/clicking sound and I felt the bone too. How do I make it stop? or is there a different kind of lower ab exercise I can do?

Same here Vinny. I do weigh myself though from time to time. But as far as counting calories and all the rest of that crap I never did it.

Vinny. I need some help. I need you to destroy my arms. I've hit this rut lately, and the size just isn't coming as fast as it used to. I train bi's and tri's on the same day, alternating exercises from a bi to a tri. Here are the exercises I usually do, and I pick 3 for each part, so 6 in total.
BB curls, flat bar
Seated alternating curls
hammer curls
hurcules cable curls
standing alternating curls
reverse grip close grip bench
close grip bench
behind the back extensions (smith or DB)
reverse grip pull downs, one hand, or both hands
rope pull downs
skull crushers
If you have no advice, thats cool. If you do, I would be forever grateful.
My arms are the only part that's hit a road block - maybe it's just me? Maybe I'm just not satisfied. However, I never feel the soreness in my Bi's, and it wasn't until last week when I changed tri's up that I really felt sore, 1,2, and even 4 days afterwards...

Hey, I've got a question for ya Big "V". I'm currently on a bulking phase and stacking TEST and Stak2. I'm wanting to then go on a cut, to lose the fat, but maintain as much muscle as possible. I've never gone on a bodybuilding cut, per say, I've always stopped lifting and mainly focused on doing cardio and cutting my calories back. I don't want to do that this time and I'm looking for a few pointers I'll be able to follow. What would you suggest? I'm willing to try anything, I just want to do it right. Your input is greatly appreciated and very much respected.

how is your diet?
Currently I'm consuming between 3500 to 4000 Cals/Day. I eat 5 to 6 times a day. Haven't kept up with how many grams of carbs and protein I ingest, but I'm eating at least 8 ounces of some kind of meat with every meal. I also drink Real Gains twice a day with 2% milk. Oatmeal and potato's make up for most of my carbs. I also eat at least two spoonfuls of Natty PB as well. And while on this bulk I havent been afraid to go out and eat the occasional pizza or double whopper.

WHEN YOU WANT TO START CUTTING...first thing for 1 month, stop eating the pizza and the double whopper...and all other crap
find out how many grams of carbs you eat daily...of clean food
2nd...if your carbs are 400 grams a day.....start eating 300 grams a day for the next month....
so now you have 8 weeks under your belt of what i call...the transition phase into your cutting phase.
get back to me before 2 months are done.
Will do, thanks for the advice. Still have another 2 weeks of bulking left, but as soon as that's finished I'll make the transition and start keeping track of my carb intake.

Here's yesterdays food consumption:
Meal 1: 1 1/2 cups oatmeal, 1 banana, grilled chicken sandwich
Meal 2 (This was more like a snack): Natty PB sandwich (Whole Wheat Bread), with Honey
Meal 3: 2 Chicken Breasts, Coleslaw, Potato.
Meal 4: 1/4 lb. of Ground Venison, 2 Cups pasta, cream of mushroom, 1 Cup Peas
Meal 5: 1 Chicken Breast, 1 Cup Boiled Carrots.
Meal 6: Real Gains Shake, 3 scoops. Used 2% Milk.
This is what it usually looks like. Meal 5 is usually dinner and this is where the pizza or fast food burger sometimes comes into play. And the shake either starts my day or ends my day depending on weather or not its a training day.

Well that's where I'm a bit stuck. I want to try really hard to keep as much muscle as possible, but consistantly lose the fat. I've heard or read different things from different sources and I hope I've been able to take in the good bits and leave out the bad bits. This is kind of what I got in mind (not per meal, but foods I'll eat overall):
Meats - Venison Steaks & Ground Venison, Talapia, Salmon, Chicken Breasts, Tuna, London Broil, Shrimp, Egg Whites.
Carb Sources: Sweet Potato, Oatmeal, Whole Grain Rice.
Veggies: Broccholi, Peas, Carrots, Tons of Salad, Zucchini, Green Beans
Others: Peanuts, Almonds, Natty PB, Fish Oil, Some kind of Protein Powder, Fat Free Yogurt.

here is a little tip:
dont train for a peak or a sweep, or any other crap out there....just train, and eat great, and take your vitamins.

big vinny, be honest - When I start cutting for my show I'm gonna give myself 16 weeks... how should I gauge how much cardio I should be doing week by week. I'd hate to do it when it's unnecessary. I'm going keto so I should be burning a ton of fat during the workouts. I'd say for cardio on training days I would just hit up 15 min of low intensity cardio on a bike. Maybe on non-training days I'd do 40 min on a treadmill.
what are your thoughts on pre-contest cardiology.

doing cardio, rotating carbs or zero carbs...
what ever you do...before you start with cardio, go 4 weeks on the diet first...so i would start at 20 weeks out with your diet, and than at 16 weeks out start with 20 min every 2 days....gauge it and then adjust if you need more.
