Well if you are going to compare coconut oil with olive oil there is no contest. Olive and Macadamia nut oil are by far better for you. Coconut oil is a MCT fat and can be readily absorbed to be used as energy compared to longer ester fats. It is a naturally saturated fat (non animal). It has some benefits but not compared to others. Tastes great though.
I use it off and on. It goes right through me though ....
Coconut oil is known to due this and help with gastric emptying and helping clear out your intestines. Its common people when they introduce it find their bowels help/increase which is good. Its a great source of fat and everyone should utilize is.
A few eggs in coconut oil = $$$$

I had a terrible response to coconut oil a couple years ago... I started using it when making my eggs (morning and night)...
I was seeing my physician regularly on a monthly basis and she noticed that for 3 months straight, my BP was high (I'm always at approximately 110/70 and mine was running around 138/98 for 3 months)... My acne was flared up and my weight was gradually going up. After narrowing down that I had not done anything different for months, except the coconut oil, I stopped using it that day. She had me checking my BP 3x a day over the next couple weeks. Within a week of stopping the use, my BP went back to normal and I happened to drop 7 pounds. (I can't mention the acne because I had started a different acne need a couple months later)...
After doing some investigating, researching, etc I found a connection to others that had similar reactions. All those that had a negative response to it were blood type O... If you would have told me that blood type makes a difference (before this happened) I would have told you that you were nuts... It's recommended that blood type O folks stay away from anything coconut related (oil, water, meat)... I will post a link to the evidence given for Blood Type O ... (I need to find it on my device again...lol)

As far as more in depth information, Google is always available (I just did my own observation and research...)
We've dabbled back and forth over the years with basing our diets on our blood type. For myself, being AB+, I honestly have never really noticed a big difference, digestion wise. A lot of studies say I need to stick with more turkey and fish and stay away from chicken. I ran turkey only as my protein source for a few months and didn't really notice anything. Now, my wife is also blood type O (maybe it's a Deanna thing? lol) and changing her foods really helped with her digestion. I'm not sure if it's something in your blood type that makes you more sensitive to certain things or not, but would be interesting to find out.
If you look further into it, with O's we are supposed to run efficiently on high protein, low carb... This has always been a constant with me... I know I feel better once all the sugars are gone, but that may be a human thing over blood type thing.. lol
I would have thought the SAME thing, but this opened my eyes. About a week after stopping the CO my BP went back to normal, that was enough to have me look into it. It's an interesting read nonetheless.. 😉
