60 is the new 50 are you freakin' kidding me!
I've sifted through a lot of information regarding lifting for senior citizens and I've come to the conclusion that no one really has a firm grip on the concept. A lot of basic, common sense approaches but nothing with any real substance. if you really wanted to persue weight training seriously at this age there is not much in the way of explaining how to do so paying close attention to the specific needs of the aging lifter. Any of you out there 60 or older who have been killing it please feel free to contact me so we can compare notes.
I don't think I'm quite ready to throw the towel in yet...
I don't feel that fragile. Hell, some days I feel like a beast ready to tear somebody a new one. Then there's the days I can't move my neck, shoulder or hip. I know I can't expect to be using the same poundage I used 10 or 15 years ago but I ain't dead yet!
i really just want to be able to lift....
No more competitions, just me and the iron. Serenity in the form of a dumbbell so to speak. Aging isn't so bad as long as it doesn't prevent you from doing the things you love.
I appreciate the support!

It would be tough without it!
Age is all in the mind ... and in the shoulder ... and in the neck...

I have another decade to go till I hit 60, but when I do, I plan on having the physique of Andreas Cahling. That guy is in phenomenal shape.
