I never fail at the top. When I fail it’s a couple inches off my chest, which is why I like pressing off the pins too. It’s funny you asked because I’ve been reading bench articles this week. Seems, for power anyway, that tris are more involved than pecs. I feel my pecs burn out faster so doing floor press shifts the focus. Plus I would hate to fail at lock out. You press the bar up all the way and can’t make it across the finish line. That would be the worst. Failing at the bottom I can chalk up to biting off more than I can chew. At the top would just suck.
