I'm on my fourth week of The Hell Raiser. first couple weeks were sick, third week was still good but still not getting what i want. I cannot seem to develop my chest at all. I am being very strict with the Hell Raiser doing everything as the work out says 80% 1RM 2x8 w/ 4 negatives at end of each set and last week i just was not sore at all from the work out. Everything else is going according to schedule. I just feel im not getting what i need out of the chest part. and that goes for damn near any chest workout i do. i NEED a good chest workout that will give me the mass i NEED and that sore to the touch feeling the day following. PLEASE HELP
I'd drop the weight, some, and concentrate on the contraction... Get that mind/muscle connection going... I had trouble with my chest, and that's what kick started some growth...
Are you failing on the last 3 or 4 negs on the last set of each exercise? I'm going to post a little treat for you guys that hammers this principle home with HRT. I'm going to show you guys a couple vids that need to be played back to back which help clarify picking the right weight. Hopefully this helps Mr. Warrior. Thanks bro.
This test was performed on myself by Michael Palmieri, Founder and President of ISSAC. This test is important because it illustrates how chosing the proper amount of weight plays into the effectiveness of HRT. This was done on my second working set of Smith Military Press after a bunch of chest work. Play the first link first and then the second.
