Peace to you friend. Your post seems to be aiming more towards meal timing that cardio which is fine there both very important tools for a bodybuilder.
Firstly cardio should aways be done on am empty stomach. Which is very hard to do when your rearing say 6,000 calories a day. Let's say you eat six meals, divided by 6, each meal consists of 1,000 calories. Now trying to find a time when your stomach is empty inbetween these meals is going to be very hard. Especially when you start rearrange the meal timing for you pre/post workout meals. Here's the thing and people just don't seem to get this. You should be doing cardio every day. Wether your doing that cutting or bulking rubbish, your still going to need to do cardio. Try to have more respect for cardio bro, show it more love. It's much much more important than lifting weights. Me, I am 307 lbs i was today my body fat was 11% which is fine I have lifted up a weight in over a year, despite having my gym. I planed everything around my cardio. Not "Oh I'll just do a bit then...and....yeah...nay be a bit there... and." Brother can tell what you look like. Hour bodyfat must be quite high and remember...for example 20% on him may look a lot worse on you at 20%. You both have different muscle mass, watet weight, bone mass = structure, different genetics =different your matabolism may need to do more or less cardio than the next guy. So you look at your own body...
There is no set time or duration for cardio. All this don't do it in the off season because I'm bulking I don't wanna lose muscle crap. You should be doing more cardio in the off season because it actually promotes muscle growth not breaks it down. The only way you will lose muscle doing cardio is if you are not eating right as in enough food. If your eating say 6,000 calories a day ok, 1, 000 calories divided into 6 meals and you do cardio, say 1 hr in the morning (now we're talking pro bodybuilder this is where the real men are) and 1 hr in the evening, and your training say for 2-3 hrs... my brother trust me (because that's my regime what I just said above) there is no way on earth you are going to lose any muscle . No way. Yyou are going go pile on muscle. Bam! Within 3 months you will be huge like myself with the lowest of bodyfat levels. Not dome fat shit who's got t'shirt weight. You know what they is. All that fat and water you see is just going to disappear and turn into muscle when he decides to start 'Cutting'. That when his going to use his magical special special little magical pixy fairy dust of a secret. His going to use CARDIO! Wow...wow....
Bro if he did his cardio like your doing he would never need to lose weight, his fat because his body struggled to process all those dirty calories he false fed himself because he was bulking and the rules say you shouldn't do cardio when your bulking. Lol what a load of shit!!! That's the exact time when you should be you idot. That's why your fat because you didn't do any cardio. If your eating good health dried food throughout your 'Bulking' season then you wouldn't put on any bodyfat lol that's the point. Cardio promotes growth. It helps your body process all those calories. Its keeps your matabolism high and in doing so makes it easier to consume those 6,000 calories gonna eat. Cardio improves your cardiovascular system. If your eating that amount if calories your hearts gotta work twice as hard to trasport all tbose nutrients via your blood cell. Cardio promotes your natural testosterone, Gh and IF in your body.
Bro this is what i use to do for cardio which was a very very important tool for me. AND PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME. PLEASE this us just what I use to do because I was at that level in bodybuilding where shit got real dark! And i mean real dark. You did what you had to do, and just hoped you made it on stage.
My wife would wake me up at 4am, every morning because I had to opoen my gym up for 6am. While she would be down stairs getting my oatmeal and egg whites ready (nice and fluthy, with avocado mixed in) i would take my Animalpak with some lemon water, because I use to always flavour my water with lemon juice. Witb that, i had no problem getting in enough water through out the day. I couldn't get enough. A litre or two per 1,000 calore meal. 6 times a day. HERE'S THE CARDIO. I would then shot some Insulin to drop my blood and sugar level and in would climb on my Step Master for an hour on an empty stomach. This was extremely silly and dangers. You could die. I use to do.it 3 time a day each time on an empty stomach. 4am, 2pm and then 10pm a few hours after my last meal which was just one massive protein meal. Milk, raw eggs, Plan yogot and cottage cheese, I'd also throw in 10grms of glutamine, 10grms of essential aminos and 10grms of BCAA'S. With the most important of all... some Digestive Enzymes to.help with digestion throughout the night.
If you do cardio dirrectly after eating a meal you will destroy the processing and digestion of that meal. Never eat while your doing cardio either because your just gonna use it all for fuel. Your gonna fish your cardio and be Hungry again. This isn't good if your dieting down. Trust me your creating a problem for your self that you don't. Your gonna run in to trouble later on down the line when your in a serious calorie defeceit.
Cardio should be done every day all year round. If your heart has to pimp all.year round without stopping then so do you. Cardio is great man. I love it. I always have. I used it to sculpture and shape my body. I also used it to build my appetite. Making it possible for me to consume anything goes up to 20,000 calories a day on a high calorie day for example.
