I really want to start doing yoga. Just gotta bite the bullet and do it.
Yoga is a lifestyle all of it's own. Back in my kick boxing days did a lot of lower body stretches daily along with a style of Baduanjin qigong for my upper body. I cannot stress enough how important it is to stretch if you pump iron. The weightpile was my thing during the day, and the kick bags/ring at night for years. Reluctantly I say that I gave up the martial arts somewhere nearing my 40's. In my 60's today and I still hit the weights, work the bag, although I do not stretch as much as I should. Figure I throw my input in for into the mixed martial arts thing.
Out of curiosity, has anyone hear done, or know anyone who's done, JujiMufu's stretching protocols?
I know he has certain rules he follows between his resistance training and stretching. Curious to hear about it.
I used to do it when I raced motocross. I did Bikram yoga! Description below
Bikram Yoga Beginning Series classes run for 90 minutes and consist of the same series of 26 postures, including two breathing exercises done in a room heated to 3542 °C (95108 °F) with a humidity of 40%
