Nice Buck. That’s a little slice of heaven. Sucks plates are so fricken expensive. They’re made of iron, not gold.

20 flights on the sledding hill with the 40lb vest.
1-3/8 mile walk
Notes:
Tracking shows the weight bench has been delayed till Thursday. Given holiday travel and work, I'm going to back off and start back up in a few weeks.

Notes:
Cut my thumb pretty bad today, I've cut myself worse though. Well see how long it takes to heal.

Morning weight:
172.6 @ 16.8% body fat
Notes:
Can't seem to stop the weight loss. I've been eating so clean for so long that any high caloric junk doesn't agree with me. Have to add some more food and we'll start building in a few weeks.
Might need to cut out all cardio for a few weeks. Up the clean calories (possibly add fats to meals and increase protein?) and increase the volume on lifting.
If your body fat is still staying higher and you're still dropping weight, than that means you're losing muscle and possibly adding fat in it's place. Remember, 1 pound of muscle = 3 pounds of fat. I'm thinking you're body is in starvation mode and is trying to hold onto to body fat. That is why I said cut out the cardio for a while.
*I could be completely wrong but might be something to consider. Have seen it one too many times but again, may be completely wrong. That's the problem with the human body is it is constantly adapting & changing and that is what makes this process both so fun and stressful.
Adding fats in is as easy as eating half an avocado, sprinkling a tablespoon of olive oil or coconut oil on your rice or putting a tablespoon of peanut butter in a shake. Little bits added in over the course of the day will add up.
I was thinking much the same thing yesterday. I was doing a lot of 3 mile walks to burn calories, I'm going to eliminate all the walking, except for the short after dinner walk with my wife. I already eliminated the weekly 6 mile run. I'm going reduce the hill to twice a week with the weighted vest, because I need that for when I get out there in the fall with a pack.
As much as anything though the lack of strength training has to be a factor too. The bench arrives tonight, so we'll get on that soon once the hand heals.
I do need to eat more though for sure. It concerns me a little that I'm just not that hungry.
Lifting creates a need to eat. Once you get your bench and start lifting, I bet you’ll have an appetite again.

Want to add an accessory day and get back on the hill with the weighted vest. Been busy with outdoor recreation, but I have 5 weeks here to get on it. Going to fight the temptation and will stick with the plan of adding 5lbs every 5 days to the bench.

Bigger jump on the bench than planned. I miscalculated by 10lbs. Looks like we got ~ 50lbs to go. But I only have a few more weeks before I take 3-4 weeks off. But this was a nice start to it. Eating more, doing less cardio, I think I've gained a pound.

Notes:
Had a bourbon yesterday first drink in months and a migraine was triggered with the hill workout. Last time was a bourbon as well and the time before that it was red wine. I hardly drink as it is, because my wife stopped, but these migraines will make me give it up all together.

There is no part of my chest that isn't sore. Ring finger on ring.

30 minutes on the Elliptical with a 20lb vest and 10lbs ankle weights, highest incline, hardest resistance.
Notes:
Recently I've spent some time hiking difficult terrain, steep ravines, crossing rivers and the like. I was in good shape for it, but the weight of the heavy insulated boots was a weak spot, so I'm going to be adding the ankle weights to the aerobics going forward.

Notes:
The Elliptical is boring but at least with the 40lb vest and the 10lb ankle weights it feels like I did something. It's not much though, I should be doing 45 minutes.
Not sure about the CG bench as a triceps finishing exercise, we'll see.
Upper back is really sore from the T-bar rows.
Hammering the protein.
Took a weight yesterday after work, 175.4.
I'd like to put on a few lbs.
My primary goal is to not get hurt.
One thing of note. Triceps were plenty sore from the CG bench and they never get sore, so I think we'll keep that movement.
It's a good one!
The trick is to not let your elbows flare out, keep them tucked in as you bring the bar down to your chest and also don't let the barbell hit your stomach, keep it up higher on your chest. You'll feel a whole new level of pain but your Bench Press will start increasing. What is better than that????????? =)

Still a week or so away from hitting it full throttle.
Any good hunts lately??
I had the target buck at 24 yards and I mistook a sapling for the crease. I killed a tree.
I don't get to hunt very much, work is too heavy. I am doing some prep work for next year and helping out a buddy to do the same.
Yesterday we hiked 8 miles over difficult terrain, numerous river crossings up and down steep ravines, it was awesome.
I just really like being out there.
