if your scale says 293..go with it because "your" scale never lies. Just those other scales that want to act like fucksticks and put higher numbers up when I step on them.
LOLOL duly noted. I’m probably even less now - news to follow.

We have tile/rock in our master bath and since they're not normally shaped, you have to put the scale in the exact right spot or it's +/- 5 pounds, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha I know your pain. Our house is old so I have to find a firm strong spot in the floor to place it or same thing it can be off as much as 8pbs.

Had to wake up on Wednesday around 3:00AM to catch a flight back to IL so I could get my life together and head to work on Thursday. I had a little issue with some pain when I was riding with my father in law (he owns a delivery business and drives semi) and had some pretty serious stomach pain and back pain that didn’t end up lasting long (this was Monday when it occurred). I then (Wednesday night) am almost done cleaning out my bag from the trip, take a shower, and head off to bed around 9:00PM. That’s when it hit me. 10:00 I wake up to a pain I’ve never felt before, easily a 9/10 pain like someone was driving a rod through me from my stomach to my back. I was bloated, and generally felt like I was dying. Because I was.
My gall bladder had ruptured due to a stone blocking the exiting tube of my gall bladder. This caused a huge issue with my stomach and is why I was so bloated. It took the hospital from 10:30 Pm until 3:00AM to prep the surgery room and provide any sort of pain management. The nurse who stuck me first loaded me with an anti nausea medication, flushed with saline, then rushed in two doses of morphine. All of which didn’t go into my veins but subcutaneously filled my arm full of morphine, saline and anti nausea medication due to my vein bursting. SO, they then give me an IM shot of morphine and all it did was make me dizzy. Guess I have poor receptors to Morphine? This shot occurred around 1:50AM and it was from 1:50AM to 3:00 that I was groaning like a woman in labor due to zero pain relief.
Once they hooked me up to the good shit prior to surgery I was night night in 18 seconds and felt like was woke up in another 10 seconds. 1 hour later and one small complication hurdled I no longer have a gall bladder. I have four holes in my stomach currently and am working through a two week recovery period as they pierced through my abs 3 of the four holes.
I’m home now recovering, sleeping a lot and trying to make sure I don’t get post anesthesia pneumonia. I guess I’ll be able to focus a lot on nutrition and see how this will effect my diet. Weight loss here I come!

Fuck dude.....glad you are ok. That is some crazy shit. Rest up and get better. You know you would not have had this problem if you created smaller stones in your body. There goes Preston again...trying to out do everyone with creating the largest stones possible. Im just playing brother. Just glad you are ok and healing

Lol, you know me all too well bean. I was trying to come up with a way to flash past the 290’s so I said fuck it and had my gall bladder removed. Lolol currently at 292 after surgery.
Thank you for the kind words as well.

I don’t know how to go about nutrition at the moment as almost everything I eat makes me sick. I can currently stomach yogurt and sugar free jello as well as soup broth but anything more than that and I’m down and out. I found some digestion supplements specifically for individuals with their gallbladders removed which is supposed to aid your body in digestion. I’m finding a lot of articles leaning towards Keto - something I don’t get simply because the gallbladder is what releases bile which helps process fats....and keto is high fat. Lol
Trying to figure this all out. I’m out of the gym for 4 weeks no lifting. Cardio is kept to a minimum and by minimum I mean walking two blocks and that’s all. Once I get evaluated on the 13th of this month the doctor will tell me where I am in his eyes and either extend, continue or expedite my recovery time.
Serious gut punch here (no pun intended) just trying to figure all of this out. Feeling pretty meh today. Family is in AZ and had to endure this whole process without my wife wasn’t easy.

any struggles without the loved ones is hard but the way I look at it is...they don't have to see me suffer. I can suffer alone. You will figure out the food thing. Like anything new, it takes time. Like the form he had when we squatted for the first time with our butts high in the air, weight all on the neck, knees in a funky position. but with time and knowledge...we figured it out. As Rex always said in here...Diet and growth is different for everyone. We just have to test things and see how they work. Im sure some of the brothers in here might have an idea as well or know someone with similar issues. maybe make a post strictly asking for food advice with a missing gallbladder. We are here for you as much as we can be.

Thanks, Bean, really appreciate your input. I know it's going to change things and I'm okay with that but I'm frustrated where I am now I can visually see myself losing what muscle I was growing and the definition is slowly going away. The malnutrition, constant stomach issues and not being allowed to train is heavily affecting me mentally. I guess I just need to be "OK" with where I am, accept it and take each day as they come.

Minor set back my friend! Glad to hear you're on the mend Preston.

You can only change what you have the ability to change. As of this morning you cant fix the ability to go lift heavy shit or take in certain calories but you do have the ability to walk your short distance, study what kind of food is best for the situation, prepare for the return to the alter of the iron, be a loving and caring person, and know as one of my favorite people said right above...this will pass. It is another story to tell years down the line when you come across someone in your life struggling with something. You got this brother...positivity is a powerful thing

Yes, currently with everything violently leaving my body I broke the 290's yesterday and am now 288lbs. A rather dirty way to drop weight but it seems to be working. I can't eat much right now, and I just had an appointment with my surgeon this afternoon and I have secondary blood panels they're going to be testing for other things as I'm having complications healing and he's nervous I may have had a stone "turn" during surgery that's causing my body to not break down anything.
Thank you for the positivity, Spartan. :)

Roger that, Bean. I am still walking and (you'll see my reply above explaining this) working through some issues I'm having with my recovery. I'm now becoming a case study it feels like for these doctors. The surgeon is nervous something went wrong with the surgery and he's trying to rule everything out. He's talking colitis, pancreatitis, or some huge ass word I've never heard of that ends in syndrome. Staying positive though - I'm still seeing light and breathing. :)

The surgeon was spot on that something went wrong with my operation. Nothing (of course) in their opinion that could have been prevented were two stones “rolling” out from my gallbladder and closing the two major bile ducts coming from my liver. This was proved with two panels of blood work, as well as me pissing brown. After a tube was ran down my throat along with two very small robotic arms roughly the diameter of pencil lead, they removed both stones via balloon and an incision. I can now finally eat food as well as not feel like someone is piercing my body with rebar through my sternum and out through my back.
Through this whole ordeal I couldn’t keep anything in me and consequently I’ve lost some serious weight. My starting weight pre surgery was 293 and as of this morning I am 281.8lbs. I’m sure to pick up a lot of that back, which I’m totally ok with. I’m glad that I finally get to eat and keep the food inside my body so it can actually use it. Malnutrition is no joke and it is not fun at all. Consequently the weight loss doesn’t make an appearance difference in my eyes. I’d rather lose it through training and proper diet. IMO.
Onward and upward.

Wowza...this should be an eye opener for some that the small struggles that we face that we put much emphasis on are actually just that...small. Glad they got it figured out and fixed. Onward and upward is the only way to go. Sending positive vibes your way

Thank you Bean. I have been released since my surgery was a week ago, today. They say all my internal sutures would be good to handle working out and to just be smart and listen to my body. I think I've gotten pretty in tune with it over the past couple days lol.
I'm glad they found everything as well. It's very weird when an organ starts shutting down. I can't imagine living with a malfunctioning liver or shit, gall stones for that matter lol. All in all, it could have been much worse and in the end, it worked out.

Glad to hear you’re on the mend. Baby steps back to training. Everything will come right back.
So true. I’m slowly getting calories back in and I’m up a pound. It’s nice to eat again and keep most of it in me. Once this stupid infection medication is done I’ll finally keep all of it in me lol

Later on this week I'm going to start back training. Definitely baby steps going back. Ended up setting right around 286 after the surgery and first + second round of recovery. My body feels great (intestine wise) and I do not have any issues as I did after I ate. Have only been taking Pak and some ox bile supplement to help aid digestion (the gall bladder is more necessary than not, don't listen to most people who talk it down like it doesn't serve a purpose lol). I plan on moving back to Cuts and some of the other test supplements I was taking at the end of this week.
