Brothers, I posted this in the contest journey thread, but thought I would also post it here so I don't miss any sound advice.
Like most of you, I have immense admiration for Frank Mcgrath's physique/strength and want to strive for a body like his. With the help of the knowledgeable bros, hopefully I can get at least half the way there. Below is where I stand now. I need advice on where to go.
After thinking long and hard, I decided on alternating heavy lifting in 1-6 rep range to stimulate strength, along with intense workouts in 10-12 rep range involving supersets/dropsets/pyramids/giantsets to stimulate hypertrophy.
For now, I would aim to eat almost 3k cals, well above maintenance, but work out enough and sprint to maintain my weight. That way I can gain muscle/burn fat simultaneously in order to recomp before I go on a serious bulk.
