Thanks Shizz. Its different but I am gonna get used to it. It was short volume but I am feeling sore now. I love it. Can't wait to get really heavy on this program.
I woke up early this morning and started to ponder on tomorrows deadlift day. I want to make the most of it and I don't want to be held back by my injury.
So as I am having my shake and staring at my ruined to. it dawned on me. My foot is pretty much usable, the problem is just the big toe. I can't put weight on that toe. When I walk around I do it by keeping my toe pointed up. That's until the muscles cramp up and I have to stop and take a breather.
This was the key, why not take the toe out of the equation. Tomorrow, I'm gonna deadlift barefooted and I'll stand on 2 50lbs plates, I'll place my toe in the hole at the center of the plate so I can't put pressure on it. If it works, I'm gonna have a wooden platform made with a cutout for my toe. Sure I can make that one myself but I think I'm going to stay away from power tools at the moment. Crossing my fingers.

Not sure if I did right by going to the gym today and hitting abs. My program calls for workouts on Monday/Wednesday/Friday only. But most of the crew were at the gym so I went even tho it was supposed to be a rest day and hit abs.

Nice ab work Mike. New 3 day split and not being able to stay out of the gym. You sound like me when I cut back to 4 a few months back.
Thanks Broc. Yeah I can't keep my butt out of the gym. No current projects at the moments so its mostly just staying at the house watching tv and eating. It can get very boring. Besides, I already paid for the monthly due so each day I don't go is a waste of money.
What can you expect from someone who lives on "Iron" road. Literally, thats my street name. Its kinda shallow but I thought it was cool.
