Just dusted off some of the strongman stuff at my second gym. My training partner and I messed around with the log and stones for a bit. We had stopped using the actual equipment and were just training in the gym, trying to get our bench, deads and squat up to par. Figured this would help in the strongman world, plus until recently I had plans on competing in powerlifting in October, but that fell through.
But our planned seemed to work. I was able to clean and press the log at weights of 200 and 210 for singles. A new PR in an event that I have struggled with in the past.
