AS you know we go through alot of training partners for many reasons. Colin is someone I WANT training with our team. He is a great friend and wait until you see how I have helped him with his DL, I will tell hiim hello. Bro I believe I met you at the worlds one year, your one of the big SHW benchers from Hawaii arent you? Sonny Ronolo RIP was always one of my heroes, along with ED Morishima.....team Hawaii gave me a Team TSHIRT one year and made me an honorary member, It was emotional for me.......and you know why. No one is nicer than the Hawaiin crew, and NO ONE throws a meal like you guys!
Semper Fi my brother
Rock,
No, I am not one of the big benchers to come out of Hawai'i. I did have a good squat though. The most I have done is a 810 lb squat at a USAPL meet at 275 lbs.
Yes, Sonny Ronolo was a hero in the Powerlifting community in Hawai'i. He is sorely missed, and I am fortunate to have competed with him in a few meets, as well as help him at a few meets here on the mainland.
Kick ass this weekend at your ABC. I was actually in Vegas 2 weeks ago, and got to see Colin at the Oregon State vs UNLV football game. Wish I had more time to go to Gold's and catch a workout, but will make sure next time I am in town.

Hey bros the ABC was a BIG HIT! I personally had a great time in my own gym. I had the priviledge of training with two young Animals (the names escape me...please forgive me!) that my bro ERIC from corporate helped set up. A few highlights of the workout:
SSB GMS WITH 4 PLATES FOR REPS
ONE ARM ROWS 15 REPS WITH 180 NO STRAPS
FRONT LAT PULLS STACK FOR REPS
CABLE ROWS STACK FOR REPS
REV HYPERS
DB SHRUGS
AB WORK
My training partners joined in on the action and we had a heckuva time. I got to see my boy 8BALL again, and of course all of our PRO bbers on the Animal crew, all of the corporate brothers, and ALL of the awesome brothers and sisters of Animal. A good time was had by ALL. I hope we can do it again next year. Now its time to start your training for the CAGE. Special thanks to big Eric for setting this event up, alot of hard work goes in behind the scene and he deserves a big thank you.
As for the MR O expo itself, DITTO on what I said above, an HONOR to work with the corporate crew and to be an Animal Pro Athlete is something that I thank God for all the time. I am sure there will be threads about this and I will try and contribute. Bottom line for the Expo....ANIMAL COMPOUND KICKED MAJOR ASS!
Oh, what an ABC! I'm still freakin' recovering....
I was exhausted from this weekend, so I was only going to do arms, but when I realized they had bumper plates, the challenge was on to do clean & jerks! Did a few of those, and ended up only doing triceps after that for arms: reverse close grip bench; behind the neck DB extensions; dips, rope pushdowns.....done!
Great to see you again, too, Sarge. The two young'ns that you murdered were my nephew, Nick, and nephew in law, Bruno. I still don't think they were able to get out of bed this morning.....lol..... thanks for taking the time with them - they loved it!
Thanks to the big U for settig all of this up! And I'll post pics soon.....

"It's not that Strength & Conditioning is everything; it just really sucks to be weak and slow."
Looking forward to the pics too. Most of the fellas who were taking pics are still recuperating from the show. I think we'll start to see 'em pop up later today/early tomorrow.
Hey guys...much busier weekend than I thought. I was able to get access and shoot the strongman competiton without an official press pass. Amazing group of athletes there, and a few records were shattered over the weekend. I'll have those pics up on my flickr site soon.
Arrived at the ABC workout just as everyone was finishing...but did get to meet a few guys and take a few pics....had a hell of a shoulder workout too afterwards. Always good to match board names and real names, and make a few new friends!
I had the privledge to train back with Rock on sunday and holy s@!t my back is so so sore. But it feels like it's a mile wide. But I learned so many things and it was probably the best training session I've ever had.
He had us do goodmornings, which I've never done before and now they're one of my favorite exercises. Im definetly adding them into my back routine. He also had us do like reverse hyper extensions and that was probably the hardest exercise I've ever done.
Thanks alot Rock! I learned so much from you the other day and Im going to take what you taught me and teach it to other people.
