I met with my PT again this week. He had me doing a few exercises 2 weeks ago that aggravated the problem so we stopped that. This time he had me doing a ton of band work to work on strengthening the muscles around the spinal facat joints. The goal being to to have the muscles absorb the stress and keep it off the nerves. I have daily stuff to do as well as my normal workouts. He said keep working out but avoid the stuff that causes the pain.
I asked about the long term plan and he said that the nerves have killed my strength meaning that when the nerve fires it shuts off the muscle. So in turn the muscle gets weaker so I have been having these issues for about 1.5 years now and it all makes sense on why my deadlift has dropped so much. He said we have to get back to the point where there is no pain and then the strength should come back. He says it will take 2-3 months to build up the strength around the joints. So at which time if I still have pain I will revisit the doc and talk about a joint injection.

- Normally when I can do more than the recommended reps I move up in weight but I wasn't satisfied with how the last paused bench session went even though I got an extra rep. This session was much better and had no problem with the 5 reps. I feel this paused benching is really going to help me in the long run.

Well my PT is not as hopeful anymore that it is something that he can fix with core strengthening around the core and mechanics so he is sending me back to the doctor. I started feeling some sharp pains again instead of just the soreness which concerned him. Like I was warming up with front squats (only 95 on the bar) and went down on the first rep and had to bail because it felt like someone stabbed me. So I have an appointment next week so we will see what he says.
Tough Mudder
I have officially signed up for torture this spring. I am doing the Tough Mudder again this year. This time in Ohio in May. Last year I made the trip out to Chicago to do it with Nix. This year year he is headed here. We have a team of 6 so far including my wife and other friends. But any other Animals looking to do it with us just let me know and we will get you register with out team - CAR RAMROD. Guess I better get my fat ass running again.
