Hey all. I'm the captain for TEAM YELLOW and I'm here to blow this HRT out of the water.
Rage first introduced me to HRT at the 11 January ABC. We did a "quick" back day and I was sore for 4 full days. As a solo trainer for the last 3 years, I knew I was going to have to change things around to make this work for me. So starting on Jan 21 I got myself a kick ass training partner and starting doing HRT. My body weight was in the low-mid 250s (and the highest it had ever been.)
12 weeks later we start this iron contest. 12 weeks of either HRT or rest. Mostly HRT. 2 weeks of rest and one "mild" week in the mix. Results - I'm 282 and leaner than I was at 250. My arms are up 1.5 inches (to 18.5 cold) and my legs are up to 32 inches cold. My calves are nearly 20 (but I'm working on that.)
I've played with HRT. I know it like my personal demon. I think I've found what exercises hit me the best, where the risk/reward line lies and how I need to focus to get the growth we all desire.
These next 12 weeks will be game changers for me. I'm going to take my 282 ass and break 300 lbs. And I'm going to come in even leaner - I'm hoping for sub 15% bf. And I'm going to do this without getting new injuries or making the existing ones worse.
Welcome to the insanity. Its going to be a hell of a trip.
