could be some external factor ie. sleep, nutrition slackin that day maybe, no pwo, mental distraction, who knows, wouldnt kick yourself over it was probably a fluke

I've never come back the first week feeling stronger, but typically the second or at worst third week I do get a boost.

You guys are right. I just need to be patient.

Today I kept things similar to last weeks shoulder day since I liked it so much.
Standing OHP
warm ups then
175x3
185x3
195x3 only lift I hit my rep goal on this week. Funny since squats and bench are my stronger lifts.
speed bench
235 x5 sets of 5
Standing DB press
35's x20
30's x20 dropped the weight here just to get the reps
single arm plate raises
45lb plate x 3 sets of 10 each arm
BB curls
70 x3 sets of 10
Hammer curls
35's x3 sets of 8
Done.
45 lb plate raises, now that's some serious shit man. 45 lb dumbbells are heavy enough, plates must've put a serious amount of blood in your delts. Mus have some bowling balls man.
Nice leg day as well that volume is intense. Would've quoted that day too, but didn't wanna hi jack this page with a hug post lol

Bro...I bet this felt great and the pump was spectacular.

For the plate raises I hold the plate by my knee and raise it up to my shoulder keeping me elbow up as high as possible. I'm not raising it out in front of me if that's what you're thinking. I'm a big guy, but I'd probable put my delts on my list of lagging bodyparts.

Congratulations on hitting your rep goals on shoulder press. The next week is a new one, a chance to hit it again.
Thanks Josh. Already looking foreward to the rematch.

Tearing it up !!
Pushing this lift is high on my list. I was drooling thinking a couple plates per side for a couple reps would be sexy.

Damn, never done my delt DB presses standing. I love OHP though - pure strength!
I usually did standing OHP then sat down and did DB presses for sets of 8 or 10. Now that I'm tossing in the speed bench after hiting the standing BB press, I figure standing with some light DBs for high reps is the better way to go. I'm really loving this workout right now.

That's awesome I'm really going to have to incorporate that!

385x1 put my belt on here. next set on the menu was 425 but I thought that was too big a jump right now

Today went better than expected. 425 was supposed to be my top set on deads and I pulled 445. Not a max effort but good. I felt my form was good and I wore my belt. That's something I haven't been doing for deads. I was thinking that if I was at an ABC or a meet I'd have my belt on, so what the fuck have I been doing? I drag it out on heavy squat days. Have to drag it out for deads too.

Thanks guys. It ended up being a good day. 365 was supposed to be my top set today. Like yesterday I didn't like the big jump in weight so I added in the 355 set. That first one felt heavy so I decided to stay there. Everything after that was great though. I probably had the 365 in me but opted out. If things are on point I may try 405 in 3 weeks on the next rotation. We'll see. I'm really fired up to push my lifts right now.
