great lifts but is there a reason you are holding back on your rep numbers on the shoulder press? Just curious.

Bean I’m sure you know I’m doing 5/3/1 and the top set is the all out, grow some hair on your balls set. So if what you mean by holding back is why it’s kinda light for me at the top, I do it that way because my shoulders feel healthier than if I was hitting 3-4 reps on the 1+ day. I used to do 5/3/1 with closer to my true maxes and constantly had shoulder pain, especially at night. Now I’m mostly pain free. I roll lighter on bench too. I used to be chasing a 5 rep max on bench for 1+ day. I was after 355x5 for a long time and worked up to 375x4 at my strongest with a 425 max. That was also at a 300ish body weight. I weighed in at 268 lbs today. Probably can hit 400-405 now. Maybe I’ll find out tomorrow????

It is all good... had no idea what program you were doing. I just look at the lifts and reps and steal ideas to add to my own workouts. I get that pain in the shoulder that wakes me up a couple times a night. Also get it in my tri when I hit them really hard. Thanks for the insight

Had a bad morning which carried over to the gym. Bench felt heavy, probably from speed bench 2 days ago. I hit 345x4 not long ago so singles here are a bit weak. This week was spur of the moment and not planned so I shouldn’t be surprised I wasn’t as strong as I should have been. Pin press was real sucky so I stuck to 325. On that 3rd set my hand opened and I dropped the bar. Lucky I was doing pin press. Stopped there. I tore 2 fingernails. The bar wasn’t noticeably bent so I have no explanation for what happened. Moving on

Work was horrid this weekend. I almost didn’t train. Need to rebound some, but I went in anyway. Legs were tired and I didn’t go as high as I wanted, but managed to get good reps on what I did do. Just did squats so I can recover and have a solid start to a new round of 5/3/1 tomorrow

Physically, emotionally and mentally wore out. Plus I’m fighting a cold again. What I need is a day off from both work and the gym. Should have taken Monday off. Deads got bumped from the top today as someone was already on the platform. Not a big deal. I didn’t even try 365. Can’t win them all.
