Another slammed day, but I had an hour to kill and get something done.
60 mins of hitting the heavy bag. (3 min rounds w/1 min rest in b/w)
8 sets of 25 crunches on Resist a ball, supersetted with a 40 sec Plank in b/w.
Brought my Torrent, but not my shaker bottle. What a dumbass...
Had to take 2 tall coffee cups from the Starbucks next door and mix water & Torrent back & forth like a mad scientist.
Slammed it down though!
4 days left till the Strongest Apple!
HIGA MONSTER
Checked out my tires that they are providing for me this Saturday at the "Washington's Strongest Apple".
FRICKIN AWESOME.
Flipped a 875 lbs tire that my HW competitors will be using. Great grip on it, and its a new retread.
They also had a 910 lb tire that was AWESOME too. I don't think anyone would finish that though for a 100 feet.
Sheesh, I haven't filled this out in a while.
Was so busy getting ready for the "Strongest Apple" I promoted, then went on a 8 day vacation.
I'm doing a Log Press demo next weekend down in Portland, Oregon for the "Oregon State Bodybuilding Championships", so I will make it a point to get back on my journaling.

Was kinda pressed for time, so I couldn't do more Posterior Chain exercises.
Felt great to Front Squat again. I want to do at least a 330 lb log press for the demo next week.
Will be wearing the ANIMAL shirt proud while I press it too.
Felt really tired today. Like something in the air pollen-like, but not really. Find myself rubbing my eyes alot past two days.
Didn't press the Log with alot of "pop" that I usually do.
Maybe, it was the Pizza Buffet I ate at lunch today. LOL
My schedule has been hectic, so it was great to workout with Zack again at my house. We usually get some great workouts in my garage.

Zack hates when I make him do these...
25 reps x 4 sets. (I go for 25, then Zack goes for 25. Lather, rinse, repeat for 4 sets)
Torrent sour citrus (post-workout) for both of us.
We were trashed after this workout. My posterior chain is fried, especially after the Trap Bar DL.
Feeling good for the Log Press demo on Saturday, down in Oregon.
Great work in here Higa! Quick question, I will be going to Hawaii for a week or two in a couple of months. I know that you are from Hawaii and wondered if you know of any good places to train while I'm down there. Thanks bud.

Powerhouse Gym of Honolulu or 24 Hour Fitness in downtown Honolulu off of Kapiolani Blvd.
Another great workout with my boy, Zack Nims in the 91 degree heat of Maple Valley.
Shock Therapy grape (pre-workout for both of us)
PLYOS (30 " box):
5 jumps for 5 sets
14" LOG CLEAN & PRESS FOR REPS:
180 lbs x 3 reps x 2 sets
200 lbs x 2 reps
220 lbs x 2 reps
Then, I used Zack's bands for 240 lbs x 1 reps, then I tossed the bands & clean/pressed for 5 more. The focus was to strict press all the reps.
Here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhe-7CpdGt8
Here is Zack doing 180 lb empty log with bands. Zack only weighs 235 lbs.
His 4th rep was UNREAL gut check. Especially with those bands trying to throw his form off cause he almost fell back off my platform. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTiVP15QZ84
Check out this cool Front Shoulder Raise exercise he thought of using my Power Blocks and a cheap moving company rubber band that cost $2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItTfCx5xM_M
600 feet total distance FARMERS WALKS:
This shit sucked, especially doing it on the hot asphalt. 160 lbs in each hand, but the handles are 1.5" diameter and smooth as silk. Hardest handles we train with, so the light weight is a bitch with these handles.
I thought I was walking through a mudbog on my last 300 feet. I felt like I weighed 500 lbs and had to also carry weight in my hands.
Higa's Farmers Walk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjS2MvlO0TM
Torrent sour citrus (post-workout for both of us), and alot of water!
We were FRIED and PUKEY after all this shit.
Last workout for me before doing the demo at the "Oregon State Bodybuilding Championships" this Saturday night.
Your a FREAK! Looking forward to some training with you out at the O my man!!

I am responsible for what I have and will become, I am accountable for what I will or will not accomplish. I'll be on Oahu, so the gyms in Honolulu are perfect. Thanks Higa!
Awesome.
Powerhouse Gym also has some Strongman equipment, and a boxing ring upstairs. Jesus Salud is a former Pro boxer from Hawaii that trains people in the boxing ring.
Give me a heads up when you go, and where you are staying.
I also got a friend that works for the 24 Hour Fitness in Kaneohe and I could get you a day pass to that gym if you are out on that side of the island.
