Bottom line.....we BOTH won. WEhn you go into an event like that, ITS NOT SANCTIONED, IT DOESNT COUNT IN THE TOP 100 STANDINGS. Next time we can get a hard set of rules and a few judges and do it right, so there is no wondering who won.
I was looking to pull an 750 or so, which would make me very happy and I know D hit a BIG PR as well. I trained sumo for this cycle and smoked some big weights. I decided to switch at the end due to the challenge and it just felt so gosh darn right....picture for a minute this....
A 242 lifter, doing 810-821 CONVENTIONAL.........at a big meet, a worlds we say where its over a week of lifting
Two days later the SAME guy goes 804 SUMO........never been done in my eyes, thats a goal that im sure many would like to reach...just a though.
As for the CAGE. BIG D and I are friends and are going to help bounce ideas off each other.
We got along the most out of many in this lol. We wanted to cause a little animosity to make it intersting, dont get me wrong it was real, but.....what you didnt know as it would be over after the lifting is done.
ITs over...we BOTH won, cant we let it be at that? WE gave the fans a good show, came out uninjured, lets concentrate on the fact we were all blessed to watch world class pulling, with no injuries, and in the end, everyone hit a PR< and all had a good time.
