I glanced over my first post and started thinking back to just over a year ago and how much has changed yet it all worked out perfectly. Soccer team was number one in the country, had a girlfriend that I thought was 'the one', and didnt have any intention on leaving Reno(mainly because of my lady at the time). Then things get interesting, I get offered to go play college ball in Portland, turn it down because I didnt want to leave my girl. Then my soccer team lost in regionals and I got fed up of playing team sports. So thanks to my naive decision to turn down a scholarship because of a girl, it still worked out for the better. But it gets better. I decide to take a semester off of school but one month in I was ready to be back. At the same time I found out my girl had been lying and cheating on me. Dope shit right? Fuck that. But anyways, so now I have all these things that bring back memories of her yada yada yada. I decide that I want to try and get away. The next day one of my best friends asks me about moving to Wyoming with him, without hesitation I was in. Never even been there, but four days later it was my new home. Worked out for the better again right? There's more. My friend and I were going to go to University of Wyoming together starting in January, but over Thanksgiving dinner he tells his family he'd rather wait another year. Bullshit but whatever. So I start looking at schools to go to that offer exercise science in Oregon. Funny thing happens, the school I turned down a scholarship to, and Oregon State are the only two that offer it. Apply to Oregon State, get accepted a few days later, pack up my stuff and drive home for a week, then off to Corvallis. Also, without ever having been there before. Things worked out exactly how I wanted them. It wasnt neat and it wasnt easy, but in the end it happened. Lately I've been trying not to get too caught up in things, because as you can see, things will always find a way work out some how.
