First of all I would like to say I have been a forvm lurker for about a year while learning the ins and outs of training. So here is my situation. I have been dropping weight for a little over a year now, down about 42 pounds. I started weight training seriously again in January. Until now I have been getting steady results, but they are slowing down. I believe my diet is to blame. After doing some more reading here I decided I am going to try and cycle carbs 3 days low 1 high and then repeat. I am 5' 6" 158 pounds and i don't know my body fat, I could post a pic if anyone could help me estimate. Here is the diet i cooked up:
Meal 1: 1 whole egg 4 egg whites
Meal 2: 8 ounces chicken breast and salad with oil
Meal 3: 1 can of tuna
Meal 4: 6 ounces lean beef and asparagus
Meal 5 (post workout): 1 piece of fruit 50g protein shake 5g glutamine
Meal 6: 8 ounces chicken, lean beef, or fish and salad
On high carb days I plan on adding 2/3 cup of plain oatmeal to meal one. And a starchy carb in place of the salads and asparagus in meals 2,4,6. I train 5 days on and 1 day off then repeat, with 20-25 mins of cardio 4 days a week. Any advice is really appreciated I plan on following my diet very strictly. Thanks in advance
