Late to the party are we =) we own land and heavily manage both the land and the whitetail deer herd we have amongst a few other animals but deer being the primary focus.
Hmmm maybe I could send you a pic or 2 from this past season?
Solid session! Pump was wicked. Moved a bit slow, just wore out for a variety of reasons but still KILLED IT! Hoping to get plenty of rest this weekend.
Down to267.8! Clothes are fitting GREAT and I'm feeling much better! My bodyfat levels are dropping faster than the weight, which is ALWAYS preferable but 260 is still the goal in the coming months.

Decided to hit Back yesterday! Was feeling good and wanted to start the week off right! Really enjoyed it helps me get a jump on next week's training. Pump was AWESOME! I love when my lats are so pumped I can't put my arms down in a straight line =)
WAS FIRED UP! Coaching my baby boy's teeball team (had a coaches meeting yesterday). Ages 4-6 (Luke is 4). He's so excited! We've bought a bunch of gear and league has provided me with some equipment too. Once we get the roster from the league I or my wife will get everyone set up in one of the team apps for email blasting and messaging. Going to practice twice a week starting next week and games start March 28 and are Friday at 5:45 and Saturdays at 1:00. SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!! Can't believe my baby boy is already playing sports!

Hit it hard last night! Felt good. Pump was sweeeeeeeet! Am a bit drained today. Another front is blowing in tonight/tomorrow. Fronts have been blowing in on Wednesdays the last three weeks. It's freezing cold for 2-3 days, than it heats up to 80 with the feel like temp being 85 IN FEBRUARY with plenty of humidity for 4-5 days before the next front hits. Once the front gets close we get rain for 3-4 days off and on too. Still pushing through despite the crazy weather!
Feeling drained today. Will rest up, possibly get in some cardio to keep the blood moving around for healing purposes.

Killing it...im starting a "diet" today. Just adding more cardio and some cleaner eating. Just following your lead on the weight drop goal
The clean meals really make the difference! Even if you eat a highly caloric meal, reduce the portions and it also makes a huge difference. You're not always going to be able to eat super clean, but at the same time you can make the best of it!
I'm reminded of French cuisine. Super rich calorie dense foods but properly portioned. Plus they eat tons of raw veges and drink various teas and they're in the top10 for healthiest cultures.
Killed the over head presses. Wondering what you think of push presses.
Never given much thought to them because I've never gotten into Olympic lifting. They're utilized to activate more muscles for the purposes of gaining strength and producing power for a maximal lift. So if that's the goal than go for it!
I prefer to do them strict, with a slight knee bend in the beginning. I get a tiny bit of a push from the initial knee bend, but it's just enough to maintain a rhythm while banging out higher reps with heavier weight. It's about stimulating muscle growth these days and for me, this has been tried and true proven to be very effective.
Knocked out Legs in 50 minutes! Bumped the weights a bit. Was moving quick despite my allergies going nuts! Pump was sweet and legs were hurting =) Been a while since I've gone over 400, my muscles went out pretty quick on me. Might have to do with me taking less rest time between sets. I'll go with that! =)
Everyone at my house has a sniffly/runny nose, coughing and has burning throats and ears. My kids and wife sniffle and cough throughout the night so sleep isn't exactly solid the last day or two. Not sure what's floating around in the air but the front brought all kinds of crap with it! LOL! Going to be in the 50's with lows in the upper 30's the next few days. REALLY don't enjoy the 85 degree days with humidity in February. Just sayin! Bring on da cold!!!!!!

*392 Pounds - 10 Reps
*412 Pounds - 6 Reps
Haven't gotten any training in since Wednesday! Everyone has been coughing, sneezing, sniffling, etc and it's finally got to me. Have the beginnings of sinus infection so my Doc is calling me in a medicine that will prevent it from going full blown. Plus this week's sleep has been very rough doesn't help!
Anyways, it's my wife and I's 5th anniversary! So my wife said no matter how I feel we are going out tonight =) my folks are watching the babies over night so I can understand her tenacity on the subject! Some uninterrupted sleep would be a really nice anniversary present =)
GET SOME,
ALTERED BEAST
P.S: If my energy levels pick back up I'll get some training in this weekend! Happy Friday and Enjoy y'alls weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy anniversary man! Hope you were feeling good enough to go out and have some fun.
Thanks! Yes, barely LOL! Was dragging bad until I started drinking beer early =) very enjoyable evening and the rest of the weekend we just did stuff with the kiddos.
What a fun, crazy and exhausting weekend! My wife and I were both sick Friday but still went out! Ate at an awesome new spot we've wanted to try! Felt like a neighborhood joint but was very upscale and the food was absolutely exquisite! They even had 5 or 6 Red Burgundy wines I really like (I only got one bottle =)). Awesome cocktails as well. The rest of the weekend we just rested up! Went to a few of the parks we like on Sat/Sun, went to Whole Foods & had beers while shopping and sat outside so the babies could play on both Sat/Sun and watched Pixar movies and just took it easy. Very fun! Only bad news is I'm almost out of that AWESOME IPA my wife and her folks got a bunch of sixers for me from my favorite brewery in Austin. Perhaps another trip is necessary they've released some KICKASS new beers! =)
Back to training! Pump was awesome! Haven't hit Floor Presses vs Chains in a long time and they fried me out good. Wanted to perform weighted dips at the end but my pec muscles were completely tapped out! That hasn't happened in quite some time and I was pleasantly surprised! I fully expect Pec GAINZ =)

Congrats on the anniversary too. We currently have snow here so sitting outside is a bit of an issue!
Which brewery is it? I'm a massive IPA fan so am always on the look out..
My journey to a 1000 total from a beginner....achieved!

Thanks!
Snow is so fun! We rarely get any here in HTown but if we do it melts rather quickly! There have been 3 or 4 times I can remember it snowing and it sticking for a while though =) When my son was very young we woke up and the roofs and trees had snow on them (December a few years back) so we all bundled up and went outside and played in the snow! I was late to work that day =) Fun times.
I didn't know you were a beer drinker =) Unfortunately, it's in Texas only and only sold at their brewery, Live Oak Brewery in Austin (Texas recently passed beer to go laws for breweries allowing 4 six packs of beer per driver's license/ID only). The original was called Sunshine IPA than they just labeled it IPA. Was $20.99 for a six pack, but they used very fine ingredients including Norwegian yeast! Has been the most delicious and refreshing IPA I've ever tasted. I prefer more malty IPA's but this one was something special! The Norwegian yeast has become popular over here for specific IPA styles. Live Oak's Liberation IPA is also fantastic and I think they're releasing it again (has been a number of years) as purchase at brewery/tap room only.
Aren't Stouts the big popular beer over there in the UK? Being so influenced by India y'all should have plenty of IPA's available! We have microbreweries all over Houston, it's SO AWESOME! Love those laws they passed a while back =)
