Hit some good ole Reverse Band Squats after Comp Squat. Felt AMAZING! These always got my Squat moving so I've added them back in now that I've nailed my form down. Every muscle is my lower body is hurting right now, LOL!!!!!! Just have time to hit both of those movements, looks like Saturdays are going to be a massive accessory training day, LOL!
No training Saturday! Not even cardio all weekend. My body was simply sore as shit Friday and I figured it would be best to rest up.
We unloaded the last of our stuff that was at my folks place Saturday, which is extra exhausting because the 110 heat index temp =) Soooooo we left the kids with my folks and went and sat outside and had margaritas and Meskin food! Life is short =) Can't wait to have The Dungeon at home!
Was draggin yesterday but still knocked it out! My upper and mid back are already sore! Soooooo I did something right. Wanted to get in some Belt Squats but no time. No biggie! 2 strength Mesocycles are coming up sooooooooooooooooooooo I'm not all that worried =)
My little girl's teeth have been bugging her, so she's been waking up quite a bit lately. Bench didn't feel as explosive as it normally would and I only got 3 Reps on the 5th Set. Still hit all of the required Reps and Sets though so I got the work in =) consistency is key.
I've also had to miss the last few Saturday Bench sessions and that probably has something to do with it as well. In the past, if I wasn't able to consistently train my Bench Press twice a week, I'd lose strength particularly in the triceps.
Hit up the ole Elliptical! Later that evening, my baby boy had me chase him around the house for 25 minutes non-stop and would only pause to set his basketball down and kick it, LOL! Technically, I had two cardio sessions =) I love being a Dad!
Tried some HIIT at first but my heart couldn't handle it! LOL! Steady state until I get conditioned enough for HIIT work.

Yesterday simply blew ass! For starters, something was floating around in the air as I was lethargic all day and my wife and babies were too when I got home. It's going to be high 102 through Monday (110-115 feel like heat index temp). My allergies were nutty and it's hotter than satan's ball sack in hell! LOL! Can't wait to move the Dungeon home!!! Need to go pickup one of those roller AC units as they're on sale right now =)
I just hit Squats, no 5th Set. Each Rep felt like a damn Tempo Squat! Had zero power out of the hole.
OKAY! Training was going phenomenal than LOUD POPS! As I got to the accessory circuit, I partially tore my left oblique. Hurts when I brace, bend down or climb into bed BUT it didn't bother me while humping my wife sooooooooo all is good there! =) Made a real dumbass rookie mistake! I haven't hit Romanian Deadlifts in months and I hit them belt less too. Should have known better than to try and hit abs after that!!!! Oh well. you live and you learn plus I was going to take a deload this week anyways, just didn't want to because of a reason like this.
Wanted to get more work in but it was so effing HOT, I didn't want to die while training, LOL! Geeeeeeez. 110+ feel like temp with 70-80% humidity!
Circuit:
EZ Curl Bar Barbell Curls: 25 + 2.5PS - 1 Set x 12 Reps
One Arm DB Lateral Raises: 32 Pounds - 1 Set x 10 reps each arm
Ab Wheel: Bodyweight - 1 Set aaaaaaaaaaand felt and heard loud pops at 3-4 Reps
*Called it there! Body needs a break anyway. This just really forced my hand, LOL!

P.S: Resting up today and going to our favorite Meskin joint! My father in law is in town and we are taking da bebes! The level 2-3 strain in my oblique is still hurting, not sure what to do next week. Perhaps just Bench work?

Got in two rounds of HIIT and didn't die! LOL! Was short and sweet yesterday. I seem to slowly but surely continue getting into better shape. My clothes are a bit baggy which is always fun =)

P.S: Pullin today! If my strained oblique acts up, I'll just stick with specific accessory work. I'm hoping my power belt will take the stress off of it we shall see!
YES!!!!!! No pain in my oblique at all! Seems to only still bug me when I sneeze, cough hard or perform an abdominal movement. Even hit a Rep PR!!!!!!! Feeling amazing as well, moved through all of the work in good time. Strength is still there even though I'm dieting. Hope it stays =)
Learned a lot yesterday! Laying on the Bench kept my injured oblique flexed, so there was a bit of pain there. I started focusing on that and didn't get the Reps I wanted on my 5th Set. I than realized TO PUT ON MY DAMN POWER BELT! LOL! It made a difference and absorbed any pain in the oblique. I'll be Pressing with it regularly since I compete with a Belt there is no damn reason why I shouldn't get used to it in training!
I also discovered I need to bring my grip in. Was using index and thumb on the smooth slits, but was noticing my triceps weren't fully activating. Switched to my middle finger and thumb on the smooth and my Bench felt stupidly explosive! Could tuck better as well. Too bad I also realized this after the Primary Movement was complete, LOL!
Just some boring steady state cardio! Only went for 20 minutes because my babies woke up from their naps and I wanted to play with them =)
Saw my chiro yesterday and he worked the oblique and it feels much better. I've also had tight low back muscles which he also helped loosen. Interested to see how everything feels when training later today!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SMASHED depth FINALLY and even hit a Rep PR! Was super fired up but tired from the diet and extreme heat. Reverse Band Squats are TOUGH! Very glad I've added them back in.
