Fuuuuuuuuuuuun session! Got back Sunday from some much needed time off and took Monday off to get a bunch of stuff done. My mutant 220 training partner thought it would be fun to try Trap Bar Deadlifts out as a Secondary Movement, LOL! Frickin NUT! Pulled a PR! Haven't used the Trap Bar since high school football! Feels weird! Really kills the entire back/traps, abs and posterior chain. Hard to stay balanced so you REALLY have to flex those abs HARD.
*Don't hate on my vacation MASS gains =) Geez us big men can hold some water with such ease!
Felt good yesterday; therefore, my training partner and I pushed the volume! I was so pumped all the Strongmen asked if I had crossed over to BBing. ROFLMFAO! My Bench has never been so explosive and smooth.
Great session! Worked up to my Adjusted Training Max. Could have gone heavier but we are testing our lifts in the coming weeks. Decided to play it smart. FINALLY hitting depth with my new form!
Felt awkward at first in wraps, I guess we will need to get in them more often! I use the Inzer Gripper Wraps and they seem to stop you in the hole HARD as opposed to bouncing you out with a lot of rebound. I don't have a whole lot of knee wrap experience; therefore, I'm not sure if this is the best option!
SMASHED my Adjusted Training Max! Only 10 Pounds off of my previous training PR! Great day! My training partner hit 500 for the first time! 300 to 500 in less than a year isn't too bad....
I've noticed as I fatigue I tend to lose strength in the Quads and have trouble driving my feet into the floor. It's gotten better from the past, but it still isn't fully resolved. I'll be sure to correct the issue!
Killed it! My training partners and I decided to focus on the Competition Bench with no Secondary Movement. We did do some Overload work with da Slanger, which is always enjoyable and exhausting!
I am VERY excited to say that my Physician has a specialist friend that shares an office one day a week at his location and is able to perform IN HOME SLEEP STUDIES! I'll meet with the Specialist Friday early afternoon and he will show me how to setup the equipment so I can use it at home. Evidently, he can get everything he needs this way. Sleep lab is always an option, but none of his patients thus far have required it!
This problem starting kicking in around or a little before 30. Friday I turn 31 and this problem has gotten beyond out of control. Apnea mouthpieces, nasal breathe strips, nasal sprays, etc are not clearing the issue. When my breathing gets shallow I'll wake up and sometimes I wake up and jump out of bed gasping for air because I have stopped breathing. Pretty scary when that happens. Plus my wife noticed that my breathing isn't right while sleeping.
Needless to say this has caused many issues and has also slowed GAINZ! CAN'T HAVE THAT! No sir! It's also not fun waking up still half asleep taking me 3 damn hours to get moving to get into my vehicle to get to work. ENOUGH! I cannot WAIT to get back to being me again. Hopefully, they can get me a CPAP setup on the double. I know some older individuals that RAVE about them and how amazing they feel. Soon my friends......soon......
