Crap, the pb that I’ve been using lately has the following composition: 90% roasted peanuts, 6% sugar, starch (from maze), palm tree oil and 1% salt… Couldn’t find anything better... should I keep using it or try to find something all natural?
I would definitely switch to a natty man. The ones I suggested before are tits, or you could get a normal natty pb, the main thing you want to avoid would be the hydrogenated oils (trans fats) in the processed versions.

That is exactly the kind of oils from the one I have… Shit, my midsection is doing to kill me lol. Have to drop the pb until I find a natural version. And thanks again for that oatmeal recipe site it’s the bomb, it will be a definite help to my upcoming bulk.

I ran white rice and oats until i was about 6 weeks out from my show, I then switched to sweet potatoes and oats. In all honestly, i could have certainly dieted the whole way using white rice and oats. I think people get too picky, right now.

No worries man, I didn't take it as a personal attack, I just didn't agree with what he was saying so I corrected it. I mean comon, he had the poor guy afraid to eat oats because of bloating while he's eating a cheat meal a day, taco bell and Mcd's? hmm...
Oats are the tits, plain and simple. Unless you have a known allergy, and most people don't, worrying about oats or "avenin", haha, is a waste of time. In fact, this whole argument has been a waste of time, because no one needs to be worrying about friggin' oats.

My opinoin-Unless you are Olympic Swimmer Michael Phelps or 2011 Tour de France champion Cadel Evans...or have very serious issues with insulin sensativity or carb digestion problems, it really doesn't matter that much...

I'm just wondering why you have to have white rice? Brown rice is better and here's a good argument for brown - http://www.drlam.com/opinion/brown_r...white_rice.asp. Also, what kind of oats are you talking about? Plain stuff is good, buy frozen blueberries and/or blackberries and put just a few in the bowl with your oatmeal, it doesn't add a lot of sugar but does add a lot of fiber and makes it tastier. And for peanut butter, I get a brand called Krema that is delicious, great consistency/doesn't have to be refrigerated, and is really cheap - under $3 per jar. And the best part is the ingredient: peanuts. No salt, sugar, oil or anything else.

Can’t argue with that… Rice works well for me to and I didn’t have any problems with the oats (except for a bloat but I discovered that is must have been something else because I still had it even after I finish the oats still haven’t figured out exactly what but the good thing is that it gone now... don’t know exactly what to blame maybe it was just gas or something lol). I also want to add some oats to my evening shake when I start the bulk because of the low GI and the fact that the carbs are slowly digested I will continue to experiment with rice and different recipes (pb, frozen/fresh fruit, raisins and so on, still liking the recipe that porterhouse recommended have to try it out as soon as I get my hand on some natty pb).

Yeah, you’re right, no arguments from me, just wanted to know which would be better so I can make my meal plan as best as I can, really looking for quality on my upcoming bulk and to keep as much muscle mass on the cut that will follow.

I prefer the taste of white rice, but I have no problem with brown rice either.
I used plain oats, nothing fancy. Can’t say much about my experience with oats because it has been a short one and as I said before I had a bloat that most likely hasn’t been caused by the oats because it didn’t go away even after two days of not eating oats
I like the mixing up of carbs throughout the day. I eat oats for breakfast, white rice throughout the day, and white potato's for dinner. Then RG and Torrent for my other carb sources.
