A man's country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, rivers, and woods, but it is a principle and patriotism is loyalty to that principle.

Its all about chow on the go. Jerky, almonds, pouch tuna, bars. Whatever you can fit into your pocket. Put a small cooler (the lunch bag type that are tall not wide) of precooked chicken, and raw veggies in your Assault Pak.
What kind of equipment are you allowed to have on duty? I'm a jet engine mechanic and work in a hangar so I pack a cooler but, let me know what you are authorized to carry (Ruck, backpack, Camel back etc) and I'll do my best to give you a good idea of how to utilize that space the best.
bro all im gona tell you is, at least when i was in the marines, cutting is not really an option, ecspecially when on deployment. its hard enough getting meals in, rather than looking for healthy food thats will help you look cut up.
and when on deployment, if your infantry, forget about it....you need all the food you can grab for fuel....and i guarantee you will still be cut just cause ur burning so much calories.
just try and eat everything in sight and get huge while you can
if im not mistaken didnt the grilled chicken mre have penut butter, crackers, mashed potatoes and grilled chicken. yea and its a mre and its shit, but you know...eat it.
Depending on your situation, bringing pre-cooked food is one of your best bets. If you can pick-up hard boiled eggs from the galley... a big plus! Those starkist tuna packs are awesome. Especialy if you get them in bulk from somewhere like Costco, or one of those other wherehouse type of grocery stores. I'm stuck on base al day long until 6:00, so after my 0500 workout everyday, al the rest of my meals I every 2-3 hours, usually are premade at home for the day. Also you can always substitute shakes or meal replacement bars, but it's still best to get most of your vitamins/protein from whole foods. Hope this helps somewhat...

I firmly believe that any man's finest hour-this greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear--is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle -- victorious." - Vince Lombardi

I like weights. You know where you stand with them. Well, sometimes you're lying under them, trying not to let them crush you, but you see, you KNOW they'd crush you if they could. There's honesty.
