      I'm back

Fellas...it has been a few years since I regularly posted on here. Don't believe for a second that I ever stopped training. I've just been taking my time, slowly but surely getting bigger, getting stronger and gaining experience.

      http://www.youtube.com/user/mgoblue2009?feature=mhee

That's my youtube handle. Have some pretty recent gym lifts up, repped out 500 ATG squats and repped out 315 for bench w paused reps and for bent rows. Sitting at about 260 currently on my way down to 240ish. Goal is to have a clean set of abs at 240. That's the short term goal, long term I plan on stepping on stage not until 2014, hopefully as a superheavy.

I have a great coach, one whom I believe will be the best in the entire industry one day. He is a PhD student (Laborwage on youtube for those interested) and we use actual science for all of our training. There is no guess work, just pure periodized programs that lead to the most efficient gains in strength and muscle. I just came off a deload and start back to some serious weights tomorrow.

A few numbers from the last couple days...every exercise, every rep is performed with a full ROM. No fucking bullshit half ROM on anything.

      Push
      Flat dumbbells 120x9,5

      Legs
      Cam Squat 445x4,2

-Nothing too impressive so far as this is just the first microcycle of 6 in the mesocycle. By the end of the meso I should be deadlifting 545 for reps. Will certainly try and get some video of any big PR's by the end of the meso.

Current weight is at about 258 with some slight abs. I'm 5'9.

Only decent numbers to share from last microcycle was a 525x3 deadlift (tied an old pr) with just chalk and no belt. Looking to hit 545x4-5 reps at the end of the mesocycle.

Back to push today, have flat dbell presses with the 125's today.

Current bodyweight sitting at around 255.

      Couple latest numbers....

      Push
      125x9 Flat Dumbbell Press

      Legs
      455x4 Cam Squat

-Looking to hit 130x10 flat dbell press and 465x4 cam squat (cam squat = cambered bar squat)

Bodyweight right around 255. I'm maybe about 1/3 of the way through my 4.5 month long cut.

Completed Mesocycle 2 of 4 on my cut.

Here are some PR's along with videos

      Flat Dumbell Press
      130x11
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUq7u...2&feature=plcp

      Deadlifts
545x5 raw, no belt, just straps.
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61eJz...1&feature=plcp

Sitting at about 250lbs currently. Will end cut at right around 240lbs, maybe a shade under. Strength is at an all-time high. Time for a deload and next mesocycle will start in about a week.

Hope all my animal brothers are well!

      Few numbers from recent days...

Cam Bench 225x8 (all benching done with a pause on chest...no bouncing)

High Bar Squat 455x3 (super easy...will aim for 475x6-8 at end of mesocycle.

Overhand pullups - done with 25lb plate x 7 reps. (Super strict form, full hang at bottom, no swinging at bodyweight of 250ish) Will aim for 35x8 at end of meso.

Don't really post the entire workouts that I do with all sets, weights, reps...just stick to the first exercises I do.

      Push
Incline Bench 275x6 (done w pause on chest)

      Legs
Deficit Deadlifts 385x8 (real easy, no straps, no belt...done from a 3inch deficit)

      Pull
Underhand EZ bar rows 245x6 (should be able to get 265x6 at least)

Cycling my weights around a bit because next Saturday at the NYC ABC I will be training legs. Will be doing deficit deads w 405 for reps (no belt, no straps) and as a 4th exercise will squat 365 for reps ATG. Should be able to get this all on video at the ABC. Looking forward to having some decent motivation for a change, since I lift by myself at a NYSC in the morning here on the UES.

If you're going to get any motivation, attending an ABC will certainly do that. Enjoy.

Sitting at about 248lbs right now. Conditioning is starting to finally come around. Having some bicep veins start to appear (a big deal to me because I'm not all that vascular for some reason...even when I competed back in 2008). Will try and throw up some pics/vids from the ABC on Saturday and when I finish this mesocycle of cut might throw some pics up on here too.

After a 90 minute trek out to Brooklyn from my apt (meeting fellow Animal and boardmember Erik along the way) we made it out to Frenchie's and even ran across another animal in the subway en route. The 3 of us showed up a little after 1.

I trained legs...here is the workout. Gym was old school, hardcore, and very crowded with all the Animals in the house. Had to go a little ghetto style and move a bar from a decline bench and move two bikes just to find a spot to do deadlifts. Even grabbed a random wood board to use as my couple inch deficit platform.

      Deficit Deads
405x9 (grip slipped, otherwise had at least 10 in me easy)
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n08OB...2&feature=plcp

      then hit 405x7,5

      Good Mornings
      285x4,3,2

      Hack Squats
      285x8,6,6,5

      Squats
365x10 (had P Diesel yelling at me along the way, was the easiest set of 10 i've hit in quite awhile)
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmMIp...feature=relmfu

      then hit 365x6,4

-That was all she wrote for the day. Consumed my workout window nutrition during the workout, made my post workout shake for the subway ride home and called it a day. Was fun and definitely a little extra motivation having all the Animals out there today. Respect to everybody who made it out!

Ya know, it wasn't my peak cycles....so I stayed a ways from failure. I will surely try to top those lifts in a week and a half. Should have some new vids coming along here shortly (in next 2 weeks.)

I rewatched the lifts and the speed of the reps at 405 makes me think if I had straps I would have been well over 10 (foreshadowing for peak cycle) :)

-Latest PR. 10 full ROM pullups performed with a 35lb plate attached. Bodyweight was 247.0 this AM.

Also hit a 245x8 Cam bench on push day and 475x3 high bar belted squat yesterday on legs.
