I started doing them at the beginning of this cube cycle. They are fucking brutal!
Feeling them good today. Next week I'm going to experiment more with the weight ... so I can hurt more next week. Love it.
Hit the store and came home with:
Eggs
Vanilla almond milk -I had to try it for myself. Seems like it's talked about everywhere around here
A family pack of some kind of steaks. 6 slightly smaller than hand sized steaks = 3 meals
Mushrooms -you can't eat steak without mushrooms
A copy of Muscular Development
The Hobbit -getting my geek on
A bag of Cadbury Mini Eggs to smash while I watch for elf chicks in The Hobbit. Sorry Sprint. The chocolate and elf chicks are mine.
The vanilla almond milk with 2 scoops of vanilla whey, 5gm glutamine and 5gm creatine in a shake when I got home. The taste was pretty good. Almond milk has only one gram of protein per one cup while fat free milk has 8gm per 8oz. I think plain old milk is the winner here once you put taste aside. 8 fluid ounces is one cup which is a half pint for you partiers out there.
I am definitly hungrier on Project Stak. The Mini Eggs are bad enough but I also wanted chips and salsa, Little Debbie Zebra Cakes and Doritos. I opted out of Taco Bell on the way home in favor of the shake at least.
Weighed myself today. 274 this AM. After the mini eggs, 276 tomorrow LOL.

Hit my 5x5 on OHP easy today. On a roll with OHP. Two weeks in a row. Today I found myself wondering where the hell I get sets of 8 from. I do them alot. I also like 12,10,8,6 rep sets. I'm still getting monster pumps from Project Stak.

Same as last week. I counted to 4 and on 4 came out of the hole. These were punishing. On back squats I could feel the soreness in my hip flexors on the 225 and 295 sets. On these it just tore me up more. I was wanting to quit but made myself keep going. These are definitly something to only do a couple times a month. They may also be what helped my deads out.

Did my deads and just kept the rest simple and short. It's a holiday and being at a different gym, I didn't know the lay of the land. Still feeling strong dispite not being amazing on my deads today. Still feeling pumped. Real hungry today.

"All of us here, we’re chasing after something, obsessed about it... Maniacal may be a more accurate word. We're willing to go the ends of the earth to grab hold of that thing that we want. Much of life is out of our hands, but every once in a great while, life presents itself and we can touch it... Lemme tell ya, it vibrates through the very core of our being... And those of us hungry enough, we can do more than just touch it--we can grab hold with both hands and hang on for the wildest fucking rides of our lives. See, this is why I'm in the game... For the ride... To take control of my destiny, even for a brief moment, cuz that, fellas, is the defining moment. That's the moment where we see who we truly are."

I was going to do sets of 8 but my tri's were done from all the benching. Today I really paid attention to controlling the bar on the decent even it I had to stop and pause at the top, and exploding up. Felt strong and had an awesome day.
Only a couple days of Project Stak left.

--Monitor how it affects the main lifts.
Did you increase your weight in any of these lifts while on Project Stak? If training for reps, did you experience any increase in reps?
I was training 5x5 on my main lifts
.
• Bench- started out 340x3 on my last set. Finished with 340x5 and am moving the weight up this week.
• Squat- started out 385x4 and finished hitting 385x5. Moving weight up this week.
• Deads-started out 345x3, hit 345x5 in week two and week 3 hit 355x2.
• Standing OHP- started by hitting 180x5, week two hit 185x5 and finished with 190x4
Not crazy gains in strength but definitely improved. I hit my 5x5 goals in one or more lifts per week while on Project Stak.
--Take your starting weight and your finishing weight after using Animal Stak. How much did you gain while on Project Stak?
Started out 274ish and finished at 276 for a 2lb gain.
--How was your recovery while on Project Stak? Increased/Same/Less
Recovery was definitely better.
--Did you notice any increase in libido? Yes/No
Yeah, but not too crazy.
--Did you experience any reduction fatigue? Yes/No
I’ve been more energetic all 3 weeks for sure.
--The first thing I experienced with Project Stak was it made me crazy hungry. Especially in the first week. I could not eat enough. That curbed down some the next week. My pumps were awesome. I’m staying pumped all week long. The stretch marks on my shoulders are pink so I know I was growing. That said, I only had about a 2lb weight gain. I wish I could have tested my body fat before and after. Being 40 years old this really helped me add some weight to the bar. Strength gains were steady and my squat would have gone up more but I started doing pause squats during the run and they took some of the wind out of my sails. I only added nickles and dimes, but they add up over time. Overall Project Stak has been amazing and like others have said, I wonder what a few cycles back to back would do for me. You know I’m running this again when it’s released.

Thanks for your feedback C! Looks like it worked really well for ya. Like you mentioned, I'm excited to try and see how a few cycles in a row would work out!
