Wednesday - 100 pushups

Archers 10 per arm then 10 alternating
Incline close grip pushups x 20

Might get some lifting in at the weekend but we'll see - squats, clean pulls and rows probably or some combination thereof!

Pretty much! Look, we're not used to subtropical climates!
LOL! That's fun though! We've already had days where the heat index was over 110 degrees! Heavy humidity too. Fortunately, this last week it rained every day keeping the highs from 75-85. That was WONDERFUL!

Jesus Christ. I would need some SERIOUS air conditioning to exist in that heat. All UK houses are designed for cold (well insulated, shitty ventilation etc) so in hot weather it becomes unbearable.
I went on holiday to Ibiza a couple of years ago and it was awesome! Dry heat, lots of shade, houses specifically designed to get breeze flowing through. Twas lovely.

Looking good in here Death, hows training?
Yeah me too!
I've been away for a few days so I've done a SHITload of pushups and walked about 10k per day!
160 pushups and about 80 incline closegrip pushups on Thursday
A few pushups on Friday but nothing exciting.
Drove home Saturday. Put the little one to bed then snuck next door to hit 80k barbell rows for 80 reps (8 sets of 10 varying grips) with minimal rest.
Sunday - the little one seems to think that 4am wake-ups are COOL! Which does wear a little thin.
ATG paused back squats at 8:30am!
EMOM doubles
30k / 30k / 60k / 80k / 100k
120k for 12 doubles and one single - 3600kg total
Rest four minutes
Bench initial sub-one minute rest then every 90 seconds up to a max single
60k x 3 / 80k x 3 / 90k x 3 / 100k x 2 / 110k x 2 / 115k x 2 / 120k / 125k / 130k
And that'll do. I can essentially hit one of these sessions in under 20 minutes if required. Looking forward, that will DEFINITELY be required!!

Yes the AC tends to run 8-9 months non-stop, LOL!!!!! Spain has always sounded lovely.

No sir! It was 110-111 yesterday. We welcome the rain here in HTown =) it literally cools off 30-40 degrees.

That sounds insane. AC must be essential in those temps!
------------
Today - speed workout
15 minutes to hit a max weight for deadlift --> hang clean --> front squat x 2 --> jerk
30k / 30k / 40k / 50k / 60k / 70k / 75k / 80k / 85k
90k missed the hang clean twice
Rest 4 - 5 minutes
15 minutes to hit a max high hang clean triple then two jerks
30k / 40k / 50k / 60k / 65k / 70k / 75k
Getting under the bar seems to be getting loads better. Its just getting from the floor to that power position that I struggle with. Still - this is more of an 'accessory' session to my squats and bench. Deadlifts will crop up every so often!

I elected to crush a lower body circuit tonight.
Double overhand deadlift vs 12 lunges (twice across the room and back!)
60k x 3 / 80k x 3 / 100k x 2 / 120k / 140k
160k single for 10 sets
So that's a total of 180 lunges and 10 singles with a weight I can normally only do a triple with. I tried to stick with EMOM but it ended up at about 80 - 90 seconds!
Got my breath back (and rehydrated as its still humid as anything here!) then tried
'Bring Sally Up' squats with 60k
Got half way through and had to take a verse off then managed half the end verse. Doing this after the above work probably wasn't the smartest but still.....:-) I think I got somewhere between 15 and 18 of the reps in.
And out. Going to be hitting a tonne of rows and stuff this week. Because what can be better than a strong back?

So my plans changed (don't they always!)
Thursday
180 pushups (100 in a Tabata, then 4 sets of 20)
Friday
Pushups + 20k vs 20k walking lunges (10 vs 10)
10 rounds whilst I cooked my tea.
Saturday
Modified DT - 70k barbell. 12 rows, 9 block power cleans, 6 push jerks. 5 rounds for time.
The last time I tried this, I tapped out after 4 rounds. This time, I powered through all 5 in 15 minutes. Sure its not setting the world on fire, but I was pretty pleased!
Long-paused front squats (5 count)
70k x 2 / 80k x 2 / 90k x 2 / 100k for five singles
Feeling good. Just plodding on....

So I had to train early today (before work). Combined with a tough day yesterday, this did not go well.
Double overhand deficit deadlifts - EMOM
60k x 3 / 80k x 3 / 100k x 3 / 120k x 3 / 140k x 3 / 150k x 2 / 160k x 2 / 170k x 1 (just!)
140k x 3 / 140k x 3 / 140k x 3
Front squats
60k x 3 / 80k x 3 / 90k x 3 / 100k x 3 / 110k x 1 / 115k x 1
And done. Was hoping for more but just wasn't there. I'll do my 'heavy' upper body stuff and conditioning during the week and hopefully feel a bit better about myself.
I feel I need more of a game plan or focus.....just not quite sure what it is yet!

Looking good in here man, and don't get too down on yourself. I would say your workouts have a good "focus" to them considering the goal / style you lift within.
