McBeast Reloaded: Road To 1900 Raw

I have not been in here regularly over the last few months, and to my followers I apologize. I have gone thru a ton of personal shit & some major transitions including making the transition from military to civilian life. Things have settled down tremendously and I have a plan to pick up the pieces and press on. With that being said.. I will quote my last facebook status.

"I've been training for 8 years now, and 3 primarily for powerlifting and have done all my own programming up to this point. My last meet in January I totaled a Raw 1801.6 @ a disgusting 275. My squat was easy, looked great. My bench looked like ass and I managed a pr on deadlifts as well. My progress has recently come to somewhat of a halt, partly due to dramatic personal events and partly because I became "stale". I know I am "smart enough" to continue to program myself but this December I want to bring out the best I can. For that reason I have recruited Corey Hayes to do my programming. Corey is an accomplished geared & raw lifter. More impressively with his Raw total of 1850 @ 220. He also holds a degree in exercise science. More importantly in making my decision to bring him on board I talked to some athletes who have trained under him, and heard only outstanding things. After a few days of talking with Corey he's designed a program tailored to my needs and will ultimately be a huge reason why I DO total 1900 @ 242. I will be posting my training & videos in here regularly! Stay tuned & be sure to him up if you are serious about making real GAINS!"

So you can follow along my journey and see where I have been & where I am going

      Stats (Pr's)
      Flat Bench 425
      Incline 405
      Strict Overhead 335
      Deadlift 705
      Squat 725 w/ Wraps 660 W/O

Evidently I couldn't hit any of these at a moments notice. I have programmed & peaked at each of these lifts at one point or another. I'm excited to be starting my new programming on Monday! I'm also stoked to announce that I am the ABC Coordinator here in Rhode Island. Now time to rest up & give it hell Monday! Thanks for following!

Big things are in your future for sure Eddie! I got to meet Corey at the ABC in Lexington about 2 months ago. I had been diagnosed with a bulged disc the week before. I asked Corey and Brandon Lilly if they had ever had this problem. Corey proceeded to run me through a series of stretches and some exercises to put everything back in line. I may not have managed to step on the platform last weekend without him. I'm stoked to see how things go. Hope to meet you face to face sometime and thanks for your service man!

Outstanding session today. Between all the volume & heat in the gym I started falling out right before front squats. Few minutes in front of the fan & I was good to go. This is a strong start... Got to keep this going. I'm HUNGRY

      SMR/Mobility

      Flat Bench: 290 8x3
      1 Board: 290 5x5
      Close Grip Bench: 225 4x6
      Chest Supported Row: 5x10
      Flys: 1x10 2x20
      Preasdowns: 2x25

Aside from being overseas today is the hottest I have ever been in my life. Did an hour or so of yardwork beforehand. I seriously considered heading to my other gym, with ac..but, found my balls and moved on. Took a long time to get the movement feeling right and by the time I got to board presses I was on a roll. Need to focus on always touching to the same area when I bench. All in all, good stuff!

I hope your back feels better tomorrow, you could see it in your face once you hit 405 I thought on the squats. Rest up and take care of yourself man.
