Sorry if this has already been answered here. What is your approach for training lagging bodyparts? The most common advice is to train that bodypart twice a week. Some say increase calories on the day you train that bodypart. Others, such as Dave Palumbo, say to actually reduce the training volume dedicated to that muscle?
I'm trying to improve my arms and back so that they match the rest of my physique. As always, any advice you cluld offer would be great.

Don´t excuse yourself for minor shit like this. That´s a sign of weakness.
Personally, I train harder and more frequently. But, like you have researched, everybody has an unique approach.
For you I would suggest doing the exact opposite of what you are doing right now.
If you´re doing low volume, go high volume. If you´re doing 6-10 reps do 20+ and so on... Usually change is what´s needed to cause new adaptation by your body.
The only thing, I would say, that definitely doesn´t work is eatig more food on weak bodypart days. That´s complete BS

I don´t really know what I´m supposed to say to that.
"Best of luck" certainly isn´t right. Your issues seem to not be caused by good of bad luck.
You are the one to decide how you want to proceed in your life. Make the right decisions and take fate in your own hands from this point moving forward!
Nutrition on rest days. Do you change anything from nutrition on a training day? Currently on rest days, I don't have the preworkout meal, pre-workout supplements or post workout shake. I keep the rest the same. Is that the best way to go about it?

You made my day - könntest auch Philosoph werden :D

Well...
I could give you much better advice if you posted your daily meal plan.
Do that and I´ll give you specific instructions.
For now, I´d suggest to not have the preworkout supplements and the post workout shake.
Skipping the whole meal before training doesn´t sound good. I´m sure we can find a more optimal way there...
Gibt's denn an Weihnachten etwas außerplanmäßiges?

The following is my meal plan for a training day. As I mentioned before, the rest day usually skips Meal 4 & 5. I'm 6'5 and weigh 265 in the morning upon waking. I'm not sure of my bodyfat %. If I had to guess it is somewhere in the mid teens. My current goal is gaining as much quality mass as possible.

Weiter so...

On rest days, only cut out meal 5.
Meal 4 stays in, minus the rice.
In meal 6 and 3 you are having a total 16oz of sweet potato. Divide those into 3 5oz portions and add them to each meal 3, 4 and 6.
You still want to take in that whole food protein from the ground turkey, even on non training days, because it´ll help you grow and keep your metabolism running fast.
However, you are less active since you are not training. Therefore the rice and the post workout shake are removed.
Spacing out the remaining carbs from the sweet potatos will keep insulin levels lower througout the day which will probably keep you leaner in the long run and also provide a more steady stream of energy.
*Meal 3
Chicken breast 10 oz(s)
Sweet potato 5 oz(s)
Green Beans - 1 cup
Olive Oil 1 tbsp
*Meal 4/Pre-workout
Ground turkey 97/3 7oz
1 cup vegetable of choice
Sweet Potato 5 ounce
I heard a story about you having to be persuaded by your trainer to have a piece of your own birthday cake once. If true, can you give us the full story?
It's not that I find it hard to believe. I myself haven't had a birthday cake in nearly 10 years. Just wanted to hear the story.
