Well... that´s a hard one to answer.
Over time you will learn how to interprete your body´s signs.
But honestly, I can´t remember a single time when I had a training session scheduled and didn´t go because I felt tired. If you are able to drive your car to the gym without falling asleep at the wheel, you are able to train.
Stop doubtig your mind and body´s abilities. Push through!
This overtraining bullshit is overrated.
Love this! Must be the German genetics in me because I feel the exact same way. I never miss a planned training session, you can always take extra RageXL!
*The new "norm" is if you're not feeling it you should take the day off and train another day or just miss that particular training session for the week. I really can't understand that logic unless you're very sick or something. I have noticed how 9 out of 10 times people don't "feel like training" on Leg Day (for BBers) and Squat Day (for us PLers). Ironic, eh?
People are very soft these days and always looking for an excuse. Just my opinion.

Exactly.
From what I have experienced, in life you you very often have to chose between the hard way and the wrong way.

Man, I used to be that way...not necessarily trying to skip sessions or claim to be over trained, but I'd always wait until I was all healed up and feeling fresh from my last workout before I'd hit something again. Then I watched one of animals Dan green vids, and saw where he said that Louie Simmons preaches to always train, regardless of how you feel...and the gains started coming like a mofo!
I was just hitting some chest this morning, and noticed while doing dumbbell press that I'm still a little sore from Sunday's lifting. No fucks given...workout got done, just a little lighter than I would have liked. I now squat Mondays and deadlift Thursday, and always still feel tight from the previous session. I've noticed though, as long as you eat enough, this leads to massive adaptations in the body...putting new strain on top of existing strain forces your body to keep growing, even if it's a tortuous process.

Ausgang:
04:00 Meal#1 43g EW , 43g KH
05:00 TRAINING (10g Bcaas intra)
06:30 Meal#2 43g EW , 43g KH
10:00 Meal#3 43g EW , 43g KH
13:00 Meal#4 43g EW , 43g KH
16:00 Meal#5 43g EW , 43g KH
19:00 Meal#6 43g EW , 43g KH
21:30 Meal#7 43g EW , 43g KH

Rex, whats the longest time you take off (days in a row), when and why? i.e after a show maybe, before a show, offseason, feeling sick etc.
excluding a day off here and there when you need it

I have taken 3 single days off since I won the Amateur Olympia in June 2014.
This doesn´t include the 2 days I have competed on during this time.
Natürlich ;) Danke der Nachfrage. Ich poste nachher ein Bild auf IG...

P.S.: bietest du noch private coaching an ? Wenn ja wo kann ich dich anschreiben? Facebook?

Danke dir.
