      pushing forward...a change is a coming!

      What's up ladies and gents...been away for some time..Life has been crazy...my Lil girl turned one..started a new job...trying to get adjusted to this thing called life...and it ain't easy. But I have been wanting to get back on the boards and see what's been going on wIth all my animal brethren. I'm at a point in my life where I think I have a pretty good balance at the moment...my training has been good..different but going good...I have been incorporating much more cardiovascular work into my training..I'm running about 3-4 days Week..my knees are not happy about it but it's been decent...in addition im doing one big movement 4 days a week as well..dead, bench, mil press, and squat..with one or two accessory movements..not really following any particular routine at the moment..but I'm still doing work!

      I was one to post and be on the forum for hours each day...well now that is def not possible...but I plan on getting on here a few times a week to update my training..catch up on some old journeys..and check out some new ones! WIth the ArNold fast approaching I can't wait for the national abc and all that the cage is...I look forward to seeing some familiar faces in cbus and meeting some new ones as well...

      Today's session

      4.2 mile run 8:20 mile pace

      Seated cable rows 160 x 3 sets 8
      Upright rows 75 x 2 sets of failure
      Deads 355 x 4 sets 7

      Foam rolled/stretched...done!

      Had some killer chicken tacos...with all the trimmings.tomorrow will be one of my tougher days wIth hoping for a 4 mile run followed by squats and pull thrus and calves...still trying to break in my Olympic pl shoes, I can def feel a difference when squatting.

      Today's session wasn't anything crazy..but at this stage of the game consistency is the key for me..

      3.4 mile run on treadmill 27:13 mins

      Squats 135 x 8, 135 x 8, 135 x 10, 185 x 8 135 x 10

      Really trying to fix form so starting light and working way up.

      Freak blasters 2 x 10
      Leg ext 2 x 10
      2 sets of calves and done!

      Have a feeling I'm going to be sore tomorrow hoping to get a light run in with some benching but we shall see how work goes.

      I don't mind those...but I'm really trying to focus on running....I feel I get a better cardio workout while running..after the first mile they get better...just takes longer to get them warmed up...

      A busy wOrk day kept me out of the gym...managed to get a 2.3 mile run in..19:07 ....got the blood pumping...legs are shot from yesterday...plenty of foam rolling on tap for tonight

      Today's session was quick...but intense none the less

      Run-2 mins all out....2 min walk...total of 32 mins...

      Bench-205 x 5 x 5...
      Incline bench 175 2 sets 10

      Chins on assisted machine total of 100 reps...multiple sets

      That's it for tOday....Bench felt heavy...but ya China have days like that from time to time...ask you can eat fish at my uncle's bar tonight for the wifey and some other couples...

      Stretched, foam rolled

      Squats 185 x 6 sets 6
      Lat pulls 2 x 15
      Dips 2 x failure
      Hypers 2 x 15

      Legs are in a state of shock...been some time since I squatted and after that run they were already tired...so I'm expecting some heavy duty limping over next few days...oh joy

      Off day tOday...did some work yesterday tho...

      Run 4.1 miles 33:58

      Deads 315 x 5 x 5

      Under hand pulldowns 3 sets 15, 13, 11

      Band pushdowns 3 sets till failure
      Band pull aparts 2 sets 20

      Stretching/foam rolling

      Can def tell my endurance is picking up...shooting for a 5 mile run this week

      Cable rows 4 sets various weight/reps
      Incline skulls 35 per side x 3 sets 10
      Tbar row 3 plates 3 sets 12
      Cgbp with 35# hanging off with bands...this was tough, def going to incorporate thIs into other movements
      Chins 3 sets 15, 12, 10

      Had a good time in cbus, didn't make to abc, had some other commitments, but had a blast...already booked my room for next year..never to early to start planning....hope everyone else had a great time and safe journeys home
