It’s only been a few classes but I feel my conditioning is starting to improve. It’s taking a little longer rolling for me to gas out.

Another great session. This stuff is very challenging and a ton of fun. Most definitely need to work on my flexibility but it along with my conditioning is improving.

The last three sessions have been sub par. I think that the BJJ has taken more out of me than I expected. I've got a contest in two weeks so I think it's time to start resting up some.
You’re th only power lifting, bodybuilding, strongman ninja I know. Don’t burn out before the meet.
Lol yeah I’d probably be more successful if I focused on just one thing. I really just like having fun doing a little bit of everything. And really isn’t it all about having fun??

I competed in the 175 class Saturday. Made weight Friday night at 174.9. Unfortunately I was the only lightweight to make weight so I was competing against myself. This show was heavy! Which made for a very fun but challenging day.
Log Clean and Press, 230 was my weight, max reps in a minute. I've been struggling with this weight on the log for the last few weeks and it continued Saturday. I zeroed this event. Watching the video I was super close on my first attempt, but that was it.
Yoke, 655 was my weight, 100ft, 60 second time limit. I started off real unsteady but it settled down some after that. I took it about 80ft before time ran out. This was an ugly event for me and I can do better than this.
Deadlift, 495 standard barbell, max reps in a minute. I pulled one rep and called it good. I had a small pull in my hamstring so I shut it down. Watching the video I'm could see why. I basically stiff legged it and it was a much slower rep than I thought it was.
Farmers, 230 per hand, 100ft carry, 60 seconds. I think I took it about 75ft, not exactly sure though. I am super happy with this, I have been working on my grip issues and it showed here. This is a big improvement for me.
Stone over Bar, 305 stone over 50" bar, man if I got one rep with this big stone it would have made my day. And I was so close on my first attempt, maybe needed another half inch. It was close.
All in all it was a good day. All of my events looked a little sloppy but it was a very heavy show, I guess things can get sloppy. I have decided not to compete at Masters Nationals this year though. My head hasn't really been into the events training the last month or so. I think it is time to step back, take a small breather, and reassess my current goals.
at 175 I can see how you had a hard time. pretty awesome that you attacked it anyway. that stone was almost double body weight!!! crazy, ambitious and cool. I love it.
