12pm at Grays Harbor Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Work has been crazy busy and I haven’t been able to get to Jiu-Jitsu much lately. It felt so good to roll today.
So I did my birthday squats Friday night. It was supposed to be my body weight x my age in reps, so 200x42. This is the first year I’ve failed my birthday squats. I got 41 reps in a just couldn’t do the last one, I took a 30 second breather and did one more. Next year I’m clearly going to have to diet or stop aging. Probably easier to stop aging lol.

That was it. I’d planned on a full events day but my quads were still a little sore from the birthday squats. Each step with 390 pretty much sucked so I called it. On the plus side my work schedule should be letting up some after this week so I may even start training on a regular basis again.

It felt great to get back at it. December was crazy busy for me so I didn’t get to roll much. Things should be back to normal now so I’ll be rolling on a regular basis again. I’m pretty excited.

Came up to our sister gym in oly today for open mat. Man it was a blast, there were probably 25 or so people rolling. It was super fun. I got five rolls in, two white belts, two blue belts, and a black belt. I think they were five minute rounds. It was great to get to roll with different people, I’ll be coming up again.
