July and August are brutal down here. I'm out in it all day and go train after and its definitely a mind fuck trying to stay motivated to train hard!

It's funny because 90 degrees isn't really all that hot but we're not use to it here. I live about 20 minutes from the coast and a cool breeze usually blows up the river so it stays pretty cool most of the time. Until a year ago I spent the last 20 years working outside. It seems like I handled our heat spells better then. An air conditioned office has made me soft lol. Even hotter today. 98 out, time to go train events!

Thanks man! Gotta start getting ready for NAS Nationals. It's going to be a tough one. Circus dumbbell, axle tire deadlift, husafeldt, yoke, and keg/stone of steel carry and load.
my kind of situation. Training at home; giving the neighbors a show. Nice.
That's funny! A lot of the stuff we do in the street in front of my house. The neighbor across the street sometimes sits on his front porch and watches. It was a good session. Had 6 of us training for awhile, another at home session tonight. I think I'll be training alone today though.

Then I spent some time working on anti rotational movements. I strained my left oblique at some point Friday. Chris Henry helped me out with some movements for this. Anti rotation is a big weakness for me. Lots of bird dogs, bear position movements, and some pressing movement with the band that I don't know what to call. I will be working on this daily.
The husafeldt stone is a relatively new implement for me, I've only done it a few times. My good friend Jeff Seath let me borrow his Beast Metal loadable one to train with until nationals. Today was planned as a deload so I just kind of felt it out. It's going to take some work for sure. Also I picked up some kettlebells ranging from 9-70lbs yesterday. These are going to come in handy for my son and I.
